I always thought it was funny how the news media called it senseless violence. Lol, I guess they never read the comic. Too bad they picked a shitty time to release it. Right before Christmas...if they would have waited for summer, it would have done good.
I seen this one in the theaters TWICE, and own in DVD. It was a phenomenal movie, in every single gory detailed reason. I was SO pumped that this was so violent, and Frank took NO prisoners...As he shouldnt.

Not a lot of people know it, but this is the 3rd live action film. The first was made in 1989. The second being 2004, and this being the third, but the 2004 and 2008 movies are both reboots, so they're not sequels.

Ray stevenson did a great job in this trailer and his clothes look more realistic as a military counterpart because his life is to realized a war in the city against all his enemies!! he sees them as the enemy he fought in the various wars at his life!!! his main objective is the obsesive desire to cleanse the streets with violence on new york!! his family was killed in central park because for been witnesses of a drug deal and Billy Russo was the one responsible for their deaths!!

Well... The thing that I have to criticize about the Punisher movie. It had badass fight scenes, better than dark knight fights scenes (by alot). Its just that the story seemed very fast to me, it was forceful how they mounted a climax to the end of a story by putting a whole bunch of bad-guys in a building and then the main bad-guys at the top...
Now dont get me wrong the movie didn't suck. But in my opinion it was a good movie, just ended way too fast..
As someone who rushed to see the film on opening day (10:00 P.M. showing), I was glad I spent $22 ahead of time for the movie, and it was worth every dollar of it. Hell, I made my friend eat his words about the movie going to suck.

This movie is freaking awesome! As good as Max Payne. Ray Stevenson is damn awesome. I think there will be more Punisher movies, as Ray said he was interested in directing them and starring in them. He actually read Punisher, unlike Thomas Jane, who didn't care about the character. What a douche. Why play him if you don't like him?

Ray Stevenson is the best punisher yet, and the best punisher film so far (And probably ever). Fuck the critics it was great fun. Also, i didn't expect to see Lonny Bin Jim eat someones kidney... pretty sick shit. You have been warned.

You're absolutely right. Critics only seek out overrated Oscar shit. They don't bother giving dark, realistic morbid movies a chance. I still want to see War Zone, but it looks like they pulled it out of theaters over where I live. Damn. Again, you're so right about the kiddy-friendly critics.

Not a lot of people know it, but this is the 3rd live action film. The first was made in 1989. The second being 2004, and this being the third, but the 2004 and 2008 movies are both reboots, so they're not sequels.

Ray stevenson did a great job in this trailer and his clothes look more realistic as a military counterpart because his life is to realized a war in the city against all his enemies!! he sees them as the enemy he fought in the various wars at his life!!! his main objective is the obsesive desire to cleanse the streets with violence on new york!! his family was killed in central park because for been witnesses of a drug deal and Billy Russo was the one responsible for their deaths!!

The Movie of the Year!
I liked the Dark Knight, but this film is much more fun to watch!
Fuck the critics, if you like real action (not that hyperactive Bourne Supremacy Bullshit)you shouldn´t miss this movie.

Yeah I am a huge fan of the punisher (the only real superhero!!!!) this movie was great the closest comic book to movie adaptation I have ever seen. Thomas Jane was awesome but Stevenson is the punisher look and attitude. They need to make a movie about the puishers true origin in vietnam where his darker side takes ahold of him now that would be a violent movie lol. Just like the new rambo which was amazing as well. Punisher Forever!!!

And yes, they finally got it right. I did like the Dolph Lundgren Punisher for it's brutal nature and bestial portrayal of the character but Ray Stevenson, man... He was amazing. I also loved Loony Bin Jim.

I love this movie. So many badass parts, like when he kills that punk on the fence and then makes a landing that only the Punisher could make. For those who've seen it, u kno what i'm talking about! lol
Respect to Thomas Jane but his Punisher was too broken down and tame. Stevenson was the brutal, cold-blooded motherfucker who just kills bitches in the worst (best) way possible. Plus, the director is a hot woman!

this movie was actually a good movie, from what you see in the trailer is what you get in the movie. it is also what you get in the comics, he isn't going to cut the bad guys a chance, hes there to kill...to punish. this movie destroys the dark knight, but it fails in the eyes of critics because no one has "hype" for it. Dark knight on the other hand & Twilight are the two biggest OVER RATED PIECES OF CRAP for 2008, i hate how critics are now..this movies based on comics, not real life..

LOL! Yes, I hated TDK myself, and was bored through most of the film. Punisher War Zone was a great film in every way possible. Looney Bin Jim was bad ass, lol. I loved it when they arrested Pittsy and afterward, holding Grace, shot Pittsy's head off. Now that's a Punisher movie!

Likewise. This was easily the best action-related film of 2008 so far. While I liked Dolph's brutal, Rambo-esq Punisher... Ray Stevenson played the role very good. He had touching scenes, moments, had his bad ass scenes like punching a face and making it explode lol...
It was just awesome. Love the soundtrack, too. Bought it a few days ago. Definitely the style most associated with Punisher.

Well... The thing that I have to criticize about the Punisher movie. It had badass fight scenes, better than dark knight fights scenes (by alot). Its just that the story seemed very fast to me, it was forceful how they mounted a climax to the end of a story by putting a whole bunch of bad-guys in a building and then the main bad-guys at the top...
Now dont get me wrong the movie didn't suck. But in my opinion it was a good movie, just ended way too fast..

As someone who rushed to see the film on opening day (10:00 P.M. showing), I was glad I spent $22 ahead of time for the movie, and it was worth every dollar of it. Hell, I made my friend eat his words about the movie going to suck.

I just saw and thought to myself.
"It sucked!? Y did it suck!?"
Frank shows more emotions in this 1 movie than all of the MAX comics combined.
Hardly any of the shown villains have their personality traits from the comics, espically Maginty.
Maginty was a little sissy scum-fuck not worth the bullets Frank drilled into him.
Awesome music and violence does not make up for bad production, or bad post editing.
