I killed Pinwheel, but right after i killed him one of his copies killed me, now i cant loot him, any suggestions on how i can solve this? has it happened to anyone else?
The Pinwheel was the easiest boss in the game for me. I had a +4 Lightning Washing Pole and I just charged him right away and killed him in about 5 hits.
Right next to the breakable wall leading to the bonfire I hear this weird twinkling sound. I explored every inch of this place and I do not know what this weird sparkling/ glittering/ twinkling sound is. Anyone have any idea what the hell this noise is?
Watched my friend do this fight today with the Black Knight's Greatsword. Lol he wasn't as careful as you, he just sprinted in, slashed him like 4 times, and won.
If you wait until you get Havel's set with a Silver Knight Shield +1 those spikes do almost no damage my only problem was the Divine Club +5 takes a lot of Stamina and has crappy range but other than that the Necromancers were the only sort of challenge.
Hey, I just delivered the Lordvessel, but now I don't quite know where to go first. I'm killing time doing extra crap, just came back from the return to the Undead Asylum (Stray Demon was a bitch to kill btw), and now I'm at the Painted World of Ariamis (is that the right name?), but afterwards, where should I go? Should I go to the catacombs first or the Duke's Archives? And how do I get to the Four Kings?
@Sperium3000 I usually do Ceaseless, Demon's Ruins, and Izalith first. It's basically the easiest for me. Some people suggest Archives. I would save Four Kings and Catacombs for last.
@EpicNameBro I did Catacomb before beating ORnstein and Smough actually it wasn't that bad with Havel's set a +1 Silver Knight Shield and the +5 Divine Club.
@Sperium3000 If you haven't gotten it by now I'm sure Sif would easy but of you're Sorcerer then i'd go for Duke's Archives for Logan's Spells if you can spare the Souls.

Yes,Epic you are right. Eye of Death can very much be farmed from the curse frogs in the sewers i believe. I was wondering what those items in my inventory were after my excessive jaunt down in sewers and now I know,hahah. thx bro:)

@222Pyrolord Next time you kill a Black Knight. Make sure you're human, wear the dragon crest something ring, and have a lot of humanity to increase your item discovery. Also when you get to the kiln they are everywhere.
Don't know if this works anymore, but if you have a divine weapon in your left hand, you can attack with your right hand weapon and the skeletons won't respawn.
hell no skyrim is not game of the year no way, the new patch seem to make the new followers be able to launch a mob when there in combat now, and buggy quests galore...
darksouls i love it cant get enough of it,i found nasty bug in the depths if you clear the very first part{where the black dogs are in the water}a butcher will drop down out nowhere from the first ledge if you go thru the hole in the wall via the water he will pop behind you,,if you walk down the corridor.
@WarriorOfSunlight no, i mean he is not there! i cleared the entire ledge where the table all there was undead with torches and what not{ with all the meat where he supposed to be}if you watch the time epic goes into the depths he will show the butcher attacking him prior to the new patch he would be there i cleared that part after the patch he is now bugged to show up when you go thru that hole he drops off the ledge when he should have been up with the other undeads
@ravenmyste Oh I though you meant the other one. Yeah I've noticed that but they may have just patched him out, they've changed several things to make it easier at the start of the game.
@WarriorOfSunlight well i fixed it! seems the butcher is now inside the wall the one that was supposed to be a trap is on a higher ledge{after the patch he now in the wall} and for some reason if you spring t old trap he will not drop down till you are almost at the the giant mouse now if you die this is where the bug happens he will be come stuck in the wall and look like he dropping from the first ledge, but he is pushed out off that small ledge and placed at the table.
@ravenmyste which is why i was confused because the trap was supposed to be see if you stick you head out just enough you can see the butcher on the small ledge and arrow him to come to you,so you wont see him on the ledge some times its really a strange bug died like 30 times trying to figure out why it was making him invisible to me when i was looking directly at hm on that small ledge
The skeletons in the graveyard don't come back to life when you kill them, it's the ones in the catacombs proper that do that. If you kill the necromancers scattered throughout the level then the skeletons in their chunk of the level wont respawn. Also there's weapons other than ones upgraded by andre that have the necessary "holy" effect that stops skeletons respawning, like silver knight weapons.
@SALordBaxter If the gy skellies don't respawn anymore, it must have been patched. There have been so many small changes to make the game easier I can't even keep up anymore.
I didn't know that the Silver Knight weapons had the holy property, though! Thanks for that. The Astora sword also does... I wonder about the Sunlight Straight Sword. I'll test another time I guess. Thanks for the info.
@EpicNameBro sunlight sword doesn't have the holy property and neither does the SK straight sword. only the SK spear, Astoras sword, Artorias (true) sword and Grant have it (along with the devine weapons, of course ;))
@PurpleIsAmazin I ended up not doing DR / Izalith on vid, because there are already decent guides out there. For the Taurus demons, just pull them one by one with arrows and kick their asses. For the Capra, just use poison arrows and it's GG
Hmm.. I made myself a devine weapon and those skeleton buddies still come back. But it does keep the skeletons in the catacombs from constantly reanimating. Maybe I need to level up the devine weapon some more?
I killed but at the same time died on Pinwheel..embarrassing i know but neither did he drop Mask of the Child nor did i get any souls..i was so pissed off.
when you picked up the scull lantern in the video i seem to have two strange lights in that area and have no idea why. Any info would really help PLEASE....
Easy mode wheel skeletons: high poise armor + 2h your weapon. Start swinging right as they're about to hit you. Very little health lost (if any if you time it right), and quickly killed skeletons. Quelaag's Furysword is actually pretty good for this too.
@beanspad chaos blade is a bad choice. furysword is MUCH better. high fire attack and a wide swing, good speed too. chaos blade hurts you on every successful hit on an enemy, so its pretty disappointing.
hey epic i was wondering when you are going to do a walkthrough with the tomb of giants. i barley got through it and got stuck on the boss nito any advice of what to use to kill it?
@IsaacDoesGaming For Nito, stay near the beginning of the area and you'll have less skeletons to fight. After his scream, wait a bit and THEN dodge to avoid the sword. All of his attacks can kill the skeletons for you. Also, you can circle behind him and wreck him for free... just back off when he does the roar move! Good luck

@hefhef54321 To get the paladin armor, you need to go through the final section of ToG as a human. You will be invaded by Leeroy, and you can jack his shit! You need to do this before killing Nito, though.
@EpicNameBro all i got from leeroy was his weapon when i went through as human. maybe its one or the other drops depending, but his weapon is sick at +5, like 765 damage :)
Hey man. I couldn't get into the coffin before I picked up the eyes behind the titanite demon. I went as early as I could because I wanted that gravelord sword. But yeah, snuck in and laid in the coffin for like 5 mins and nothing and then ran out and grabbed the eyes (got killed by the titanite demon) and then it worked with a minute.

Soul sign is Paladin Leeroy, the same guy you'll fight as an invader when you head toward Nito.
As easy as Pinwheel is, it adds some context to know that if you enter before Rhea goes down into the Catacombs, Patches will be there and try to dump you off the second spike bridge/platform. He's right by that second bonfire.
@Schwaltzvald I'm not sure! I actually never tried. It should work. Give it a shot and let us know... I expect no problems. Another alternative is the Astora Straight Sword... or simply make a divine weapon, which is pretty easy, too.
@EpicNameBro Just tried out some weapons earlier and Interestingly it seems that any weapon with a "unique" trait works; even if the weapon does not have an aux effect for holy on the undead skeletons. First tried smacking them around with a morning star+3, of course they reformed even after being fully smashed. When I tried Silver Knights sword & spear weapons or a black knight sword they die and stay dead. Even the lightning spear works just fine keeping them dead and scattered.
i sometimes doubt the chosen undead's common sense. "hey a ladder! lets kick it!" or "im gonna give this item to a talking crow" i think the biggest one was shown in this video. "herpy derp! im gonna take a nap in this here coffin! AHH WTF! Where am i going?"
@lolx978 Dark Souls, if only to resolve the buggy issues with Skyrim. At best you'd be better off getting the PC version of Skyrim as that's easier to fix than the PS3/360 version.
With Dark Souls, it's at least consistent with performance and game play except for some framerate issues in certain areas. *cough*Blighttown*cough*
@lolx978 Skyrim has some bad bugs right now on PS3 so you might want to investigate that further before buying it. I think a patch came out but a lot of people are still having issues.
@lolx978 If you are looking for a challenging EPIC RPG with an awesome battle system then play Dark Souls, but if you are looking for a pure easy casual experience with little RPG elements and emphasis more on exploration then Skyrim is your choice.
darkSouls vs skyrim = Superior gameplay vs Abundance
Personally I went from darkSouls to playing skyrim, and skyrim was just not cutting the bread for me for me or should I say, it was just not Epic enough for me xD.
@lolx978 Do you like hardcore RPG's or story based exploratory RPG's? It's personal preference. My opinion, buy Dark Souls for the PS3 and Skyrim for the PC.

@mikejpete My PS3 version has been perfect so far and I've invested A LOT of time into it. I only had one freeze ever. They're also updating a patch for the PS3 version to fix this soon.

NPC summon is Paladin Leeroy, he pretty much wrecks everything in the catacombs, he invades you in the tomb of giants, giving you the Sanctus (regen) shield, and the Grant (replacement Garl Vinland maybe?) you can find the paladin armor set in the Nito Boss area if you killed BP Leeroy

Vamos's audio is awesome. When I found him - I fell down the hole straight from the top - thought I'd died. Then the cutscene ran and I thought it was a boss. Relief it was just a blacksmith :D
Also if u don't have a divine weapon for catacombs: if u kill the necromancer(fire throwers) of a section, the skeletons of that area will stop respawning permanently. Just rush for them before u kill the skeletons. ;)
I should have made a divine weapon +10 before I finished. This part in NG+ fucking makes me rage. Divine battle axe +5 takes like 8 hits to kill those bum skeletons lol.
Attacking Nito when you take the coffin in Catacombs does nothing. Whatever you use just goes through him. And the cursed frogs do indeed drop eyes of death.
If you attack Nito here nothing happens, kinda lame :l

Easy mode wheel skeletons: high poise armor + 2h your weapon. Start swinging right as they're about to hit you. Very little health lost (if any if you time it right), and quickly killed skeletons. Quelaag's Furysword is actually pretty good for this too.

@beanspad chaos blade is a bad choice. furysword is MUCH better. high fire attack and a wide swing, good speed too. chaos blade hurts you on every successful hit on an enemy, so its pretty disappointing.

@IsaacDoesGaming For Nito, stay near the beginning of the area and you'll have less skeletons to fight. After his scream, wait a bit and THEN dodge to avoid the sword. All of his attacks can kill the skeletons for you. Also, you can circle behind him and wreck him for free... just back off when he does the roar move! Good luck

@hefhef54321 To get the paladin armor, you need to go through the final section of ToG as a human. You will be invaded by Leeroy, and you can jack his shit! You need to do this before killing Nito, though.

Hey man. I couldn't get into the coffin before I picked up the eyes behind the titanite demon. I went as early as I could because I wanted that gravelord sword. But yeah, snuck in and laid in the coffin for like 5 mins and nothing and then ran out and grabbed the eyes (got killed by the titanite demon) and then it worked with a minute.

Soul sign is Paladin Leeroy, the same guy you'll fight as an invader when you head toward Nito.
As easy as Pinwheel is, it adds some context to know that if you enter before Rhea goes down into the Catacombs, Patches will be there and try to dump you off the second spike bridge/platform. He's right by that second bonfire.

Wouldn't the Silver Knight Spear be enough as it has an Auxillary holy effect of 110? I ask as it does not specifically state it's a divine weapon.
Sure I can do the club downgrade but I'm just not a fan of clubs at all.

@Schwaltzvald I'm not sure! I actually never tried. It should work. Give it a shot and let us know... I expect no problems. Another alternative is the Astora Straight Sword... or simply make a divine weapon, which is pretty easy, too.

@EpicNameBro Just tried out some weapons earlier and Interestingly it seems that any weapon with a "unique" trait works; even if the weapon does not have an aux effect for holy on the undead skeletons. First tried smacking them around with a morning star+3, of course they reformed even after being fully smashed. When I tried Silver Knights sword & spear weapons or a black knight sword they die and stay dead. Even the lightning spear works just fine keeping them dead and scattered.

@lolx978 Dark Souls, if only to resolve the buggy issues with Skyrim. At best you'd be better off getting the PC version of Skyrim as that's easier to fix than the PS3/360 version.
With Dark Souls, it's at least consistent with performance and game play except for some framerate issues in certain areas. *cough*Blighttown*cough*

@lolx978 If you are looking for a challenging EPIC RPG with an awesome battle system then play Dark Souls, but if you are looking for a pure easy casual experience with little RPG elements and emphasis more on exploration then Skyrim is your choice.

Personally I went from darkSouls to playing skyrim, and skyrim was just not cutting the bread for me for me or should I say, it was just not Epic enough for me xD.

NPC summon is Paladin Leeroy, he pretty much wrecks everything in the catacombs, he invades you in the tomb of giants, giving you the Sanctus (regen) shield, and the Grant (replacement Garl Vinland maybe?) you can find the paladin armor set in the Nito Boss area if you killed BP Leeroy

Also if u don't have a divine weapon for catacombs: if u kill the necromancer(fire throwers) of a section, the skeletons of that area will stop respawning permanently. Just rush for them before u kill the skeletons. ;)

1. Occult upgrade adds Faith stat and Humanity scaling, but lowers str/dex scaling. It does not add divine, nor cursed properties.
2. Once you get to 3rd lvl of Darkwraith you wont need Kaathe anymore. Just jump down the hole where the Frampt used to nap to get to the Lordvessel.
