Bowser was better in this game than in the 2nd one. He developed a master plan that sounded good, it backfired cause a black hole, and it took sacrifice in order to fix it. I felt bad that the Lumas took their lives to save Mario, Peach, and the universe, not to mention Bowser. Eh, at least it all ended well. =)

I find sonic colours to be another attempt at matching mario. It has a similar plot devices as well as a similar ending. The wisps are like the luma's and they both give the main character special powers. Also when the villain plan of galactic domination backfire's their own creation become a space with an enomous amount of gravity. And the space creatures end up joining together to stop it.

I'd have to say, although SMG2 was pretty much perfect in every way, SMG1 had the best story, possibly of any Mario game. Nintendo tried to use as little story as possible in the second one, and that left way too many plot holes. The original had a perfect story-line and was just amazing.

You guys think the ending is all sad, but i thought it was hopeful. Yes, couldn't help tearing up when the lumas sacrificed themselves, but Rosalina reminds us stars die all the time, and are reborn; that is the way of things. Then we see the concept first hand with a new galaxy, and Rosalina leaves to continue her devotion to the stars; and those rusted ruins of the spaceship, kind of like leaving her past behind her. Makes me hopefull, but not sad. Great ending; SMG2's was not half as good.

Great atmosphere, great villain, FANTASTIC music.....

You know what they forgot? A CHALLENGING final boss. THIS was disappointing...

I recently played this game again and it turned out that I had enough stars to go here....Keep in mind that I haven't played in a while....Got to him....

And, well, I beat him and I only lost TWO life's. And those two lifes I lost during the first part of the battle (didn't know what to do).

If I get Galaxy 2, I pray the final boss is more challenging...
