How do you know how far to put the circle jig from the blade the first and second time? How do you know what size the circle should be for the size ball you are making? I find this so very interseting!
@thisnobody The size of the circle in the jig should be sufficient to hold job securely, whilst the jig is of a sufficient depth to prevent the stock from protruding through to the other side. The resulting radius of the ball will be the distance from the centre of the circle in the jig to the blade.
