He was really staring at that girl's ass...lol but anyway he really has a point about the industry being solely into looks...the music industry has replaced talent with beauty. Pharrell has amazing talent everyone knows that...but also he should know that one of the reasons he has a big following is because of how he look. There are artist out there that have amazing voices and creativity but not the look that the industry wants them to have and they don't get as much play... It's sad...

I think it's time we as a listening/viewing audience be able to see other/different stuff. Am I the only one who still enjoys music from the 70's and 80's??? In order to hear some of those songs recently nowadays OTHER THAN ON CD/YOUTUBE we are now subjected to remakes or sampling for hip hop, R and B music because NOBODY makes music like that anymore. 4 real an example is girls in the 90's used to dress like dudes and they were still sexy and they made good music. They came out looking presentable not over the top, but the music spoke for itself. Your comment holds NO ground. One of the most wealthiest in his genre, Miles Davis, said of the same things about the industry. He did his own thing AND at the end of the day he still drove a Ferrari home. Pharrell, like any other artist, is allowed to reap the benefits of his trade. And... He and his music (along with Chad Hugo) for the last few years really havent been that mainstream. Look at N*E*R*D. Do they make Top 40 music? He's allowed to criticize the industry...
