  • the first sounds horrible.. the rest is great

  • ahhh this was so good. period.

  • żal ! nooby...

  • too fast

  • epic fail...

  • Lovely job! Delightful. I'd love to hear you do again in a lower register.

  • Worse than karaoke no offense. Stop singing outside of a car. I say this as a person who cannot sing either.

  • Well done.

  • john cale's is the best version

  • I feel proud to be among the fraternity/sorority of all the people who have ever sung this song.

I feel there's something special about that.

(or even about just hearing it. If it establishes itself in your head, you start getting inspired to dissolve into the song, forever...)

  • thats will do... well done...started a couple of .....well....octaves to high...gave them nowhere to go!!....undisputabley good singers though

  • Hey, this is highschool, not seasoned professionals, so layoff. That this was even done (and done quite well, I might add), I find impressive. And this is coming from a seasoned professional.

  • dude i did it in middle school and did WAY better.

  • i think the key is too high, but bravo for just doing it.

  • You also don't let that stop you from being a pretentious asshole. Guess it comes with the territory?

  • You are a moron if you actually think Rufus Wainwright is the guy who made this song popular. Google Jeff Buckley. Rufus Wainwright wasn't even covering the Cohen song, he was covering the Buckley cover, which is the best version, and was very popular.

  • AND, the version in the Shrek movie is by John Cale. Rufus Wainwright is just the one on the soundtrack because of record label complications.

  • To a high school crowd, aka myself and everyone sitting in that audience, saying Rufus Wainwright and Shrek ring the most bells. I KNEW that John Cale was the one in the movie and Rufus wasn't, but his cover has also recieved many praises and is quite popular in my younger generation.

    K thnx.

  • All silly retroactive qualifications aside, Jeff Buckley made that song popular. He did it in the 90's, so it isn't even like you weren't around to hear it when he did. Hell, I'm probably younger than you. I just don't let that stop me from being culturally literate.

Good job on the concert, by-the-by. Timpani > All other instruments.

  • Im only 22 and my favourite version is Cohen's, age means nothing, society gives the impression that if it's new it's cool, yet IMO none sing the song with such reality as cohen

    My 2 cents...

  • john cale is betteer

  • ahhh this was so good. period. the end.

  • <3

It was a little hard to hear Tenshi-san when the two of you were singing together at times, but overall it sounded SPECTACULAR. You've made this song even more of my favourite than it used to be.

  • Dual is not so bad.
