Marth only appeared as cool and feminine in Melee/Brawl, not so in any of the games however and the anime reflects this. He was just the typical heroic youth, without much in terms of character and personality. In fact, he's very similar to how Roy appears in Melee.

And I'm digging the name Mars, the Roman God of War. I'm sure that was an intentional comparison originally, much like Sigurd (the norse hero) in Fire Emblem 4.

I'm pretty sure the American translators screwed up because her original Japanes name was Shiida. Also the Myrmidon you get is called Nabarl, I'm pretty sure he's called something different on the American version.

This anime is based off Fire Emblem 1, as well as Fire Emblem 3's 1st book. Eliwood, Lyn and Hector are only in Fire Emblem 7 and Fire Emblem 6 (well, Lyn isn't in #6, which is the sequel to 7). You probably thoought they'd be in here because outside of Japan, the game was just called Fire Emblem because it was the first one released outside of Japan. In Japan, though, it is called Fire Emblem: The Bllazing Sword, or Fire Emblem 7. The game was released in '03, but this anime was in the 90's.

Mars and Marth are two translations of the character's Japanese name, but starting with Super Smash Bros. Melee, Nintendo stayed with Marth and never went back to using Mars.

You dont know the hell your talking about, this is an old OAV so voice acting might not be up to par by today's standards and if it bothers you so much watch it in japanese with english subtitles! His name is Mars because that is the direct translation! Infact its more his real name then Marth, Marth is the english name they gave to him in Melee and so forth, but this was made before Melee so there is no reason to complain
