And America is always showing the AFRICAN People as poor, destitute, uncivilized, and needing somebody to send food and clothes, they need to show the AFRICANS that are rich, too!
Whoever posted a comment about Africans being of European origin is totally wrong. Europeans came from Africans. I DID my research and studies, I don't know from where u got your lies, I don't know who deceived you, but it's a fact that you were wrong and you need to go back to school or the library and do your research.
It's gettting annoying seeing the same racist white trash flooding so many African related threads with outdated white supremist Eurocentric Hamatic theories on idigenous Africans origins...Do you losers get off by this stuff or is some one paying you?
@90sraisedme The Fulani people have a very rich culture and spirituality comparable to Celts. I think white suprematist should respect them as they respect the celtic culture....
Race of the mind and of the soul is more important than race of the body.... And the Fulanis have a very beautiful soul....
i read those the same studies and although i'm skeptical on the finding thinking they were exaggerated it said only 8% of the Fula tested had Euroasian genes and it was very low/igsignificant....the other 92% were pure West African...that's as about as African as it gets.
@90sraisedme something interesting is that the fulani people say they come from the east and that white skin is very revered (it was before white and arab colonization)
Although I dont understand what they are saying, hearing the spirit in their voice, and seeing their smiles speak wonders...Ive never heard of Fulani before tonigh but I see I have lots to learn..thanks for sharing
Is this in Niger, you said? Wooow! West Africans have a lot in common. I'm from The Gambia and we have Fulas there. Infact, my wife is Fula.
The ancestry of Fulas still remains esoteric. It's tempting to agree that they have Arab blood because they look very light-skinned with long hair. God knows best.
My wife has very long hair, very fair skin, and speaks Fulani as her first language. But I still categorise Fulas as purely African.
Guecheme is a hausa region though, i had a high school friend who's family was from Guecheme. Myself, i'm poulo NIger who grew up in Niamey but my family is from Birno, the Dosso region. So i don't fully understand them but i get some of what they are saying.
ebraco30, the Fulas are probably the descendants of various pastoral groups who lived in North Africa between 10, 000 - 5,000 years ago. During this period, 'Caucasian' North Africans were intermingling with various 'black' African people who lived in North Africa. When the Sahara became a desert 6,000 years ago, the Fulas took refuge in West Africa. It is also possible that the Fulas are just an ancient intermediate group encompassing both 'Caucasian' and 'black' African variations.
Your wrong! African people are very diverse. We look like everybody that's because everybody comes from that first African women and man. The base and root of humanity is African people. The facial features skin tones changes and run wild and give you this diversity.
If anything, it would seem that Fulani groups are mostly Sub-Saharan with some Berber or Arab admixture, and not so much the other way around. Genetics and population clusters show that, while there is a "Eurasian" component, it is dwarfed by the "Sub-Saharan" component. However, this might just mean that the original population was small relative to the amount of "blacks" they mingled with. I believe the second theory is also possible.
If, the first theory occured, then the initial population of "Caucasions" was virtually absorbed into a larger "Black" group or groups. This is based on genetic information that shows some Eurasion component, but a vastly greater Subsaharan component. Either way the Fulani still form their own little cluster away from everyone else in Sub-saharan africa as well as North Africans. Why that is, I don't know.
The fulas I know say they are mixed with Arab. But its possible that's only because they are an Islamic people. All Islamic peoples that can will claim some Arab ancestry. Even in Sudan they will do this.
Perhaps you will find this strange but I am a African American who is.......... confused. Is it possible to miss something you have never seen? If you know what I mean?
Hello, would you mind letting me know about your report on the Fulani? I am so hungry for information since I found out they are part of my heritage along with the Yoruba in Nigeria.

just because we have many different features from what you are use to seeing does not mean we are mixed. Its called African REMEMBER IT.
