One teacher suggested that parents should teach their kids the basics before kindergarten. We did, and we did so well that we continued beyond the basics. We realized that we don't need the school, or that teacher. Just homeschool! Our 4-year old is at 2nd grade reading and 1st grade math.

It is a real shame with the government ruining education and parents not taking the time to ensure their children are actually getting a good education. The third party is the Teachers' Union; who are more interested in protecting their own members, but won't remove the "dead" wood of teachers. The Liberals seek to destroy what is normal and turn everything on it's head in every area of our lives, so they enjoy the dumbing down of America for gaining future "cogs" in their world.

As a recent product of the public school system, The government shares the blame with society and the culture equally. Many of the students just don't care about Ed. often seeing no need for it because they are going to become Pro Athlete or a Famous Musician. Quite often lacking the skills need for this. American Idol is a good Ex. The Key is when to know or tell some one when a Dream is nothing more than that, and to prepare for reality. To be continued.
