But have you ever heard of a little band called Black Sabbath? They're nowhere near complex, yet they invented a whole new genre of music. Want another example? Jimi Hendrix. Not the most technical guitar player, yet he's arguably the most influential guitarist. And comparing Bieber to anything metal/rock related is like comparing apples to oranges.

Like Little Wing, its not the easiest things to play. and as for Sabbath, they were starting something new.They were like the forger in the steel work world. but times have moved on. even sabbath and ozzy play more complex stuff. Why stay in the stone age when we can move on? And for the time, sabbath was badass. but as they grew they became better musicians. and im not saying complexity is everything, taste is important also

@BryceIbanez17 Yes, taste is very important. My philosophy has always been that simplicity can go a long way, when used in the right manner of course. Early Sabbath has a huge influence on my guitar playing. I never really got into guys like Vai and Satriani, but of course I respect them because they're innovative. The only shred-type album I really got into was Jeff Loomis' solo album Zero Order Phase. He's the Jason Becker of this era. I think we can both agree that metal rules though lol
