Detroit Metro Airport - Music Visualizations in Tunnel

The Tunnel is inside the security area, so you've already been through the TSA before you get here. Personally, this tunnel freaked me out. I kept wondering when WIlly Wonka was going to start a Spoken Word performance.

I worked a temp job for prospect airport services durning the fall 2004/early winter 2005. I loved this tunnel. You have to be there to see how beautiful it is.

I'm from Germany and i like working with LED's. I've seen Streetlights, Videowalls, Buildings, and many other things with LED's. But, what the fuck is this? .... how much wires and LED's are in there - This big RGB-LED installation works to 100% with DMX-Controllers. Fantastic.

Are you kidding? Detroit is a pain in the butt! It is the airport of the endless taxi/walk. That "shotgun" design for the terminal is nice, until you have to run to your gate because NorthWORST was late again!

Why would you run to the gate when the plane is late? Wouldn't you have to wait? Maybe you should arrive to the gate earlier. You must be at the gate 20 minutes prior to departure, or your reservation is subject to cancellation. It takes so long to walk across because you have to walk under the ground to the other building. Without the lights, it would be boring and you still have to walk the distance. So don't blame anyone else b/c YOU were late.

I never get to the airport late. Detroit is a HUB for NORTHWORST. As such, NORTHWORST often has connecting flights through Detroit. When NORTHWORST is late, I have to run to the gate. This happens a lot! Like yesterday when I flew from BWI. The dummies were late because the moron filling the plane with fuel wrote down the wrong quantity he put in the tank. It took them over an hour to sort it out and I missed my connection.

Oh yeah, like NWA is the only airline with delays. Well I'm glad I don't have to deal with connections because I live in Detroit. And everyone makes mistakes, it's human nature. You want a pain - in - the - butt airport? Try Charles de Gaulle. It's a nightmare.

Agreed de Gaulle sux. People there are rude as hell. And Northworst isn't the only airline with delays. They just seem to have more than most and RARELY EVER apologize for it. Has anyone else noticed that so many things go wrong on NWA that they hardly ever even bother to get embarrassed anymore? Everyone does make mistakes. It just seems like NWA has elevated it to an art form.

Oh man they had an issue with one of fans on the plane so we had to go all the way from the one side of Concourse A all the way to the other side..it REALLY sucked..and on top of that we had to wait an extra hour, but I still think Spirit Airlines is the worst Airline out there, I dont care how dirt ass cheap they are, I would rather Fly Northwest any day! Atleast they have complementary drinks!

Does Spirit airlines charge you for the aisle seat like Northworst does? Sure, the drinks might still be complimentary for now (do they give you the entire can of pop?). If US Air is any indication, that won't last either.

They charge you to pick out a seat online, but I think most airlines do have a pick your own seat charge (I Know WestJet does, but I dont have any issues with them and never heard of anyone who hates WestJet) but you can always get to the airport early and try to nab the seat you want at the check in desk. And no LOL I got water, I dont think Northwest offers Pop free, just water and Juice..but still..I only flew with NW once so Im stilling giving them a chance :P

LC Smith Terminal sucks... I got a bad impression from the Metro Airport. I think this is the McNamara Terminal. Isn't it?

LC Smith will be gone soon...New terminal to open up soon to replace it. Detroit will have the newest. coolest, airport then.
