To me, it sounds like the vocals in the chorus are probably being run through a swept phaser + digital reverb. This was probably an early digital rack effect from the era.

definitivly phaser of some kind,altough it sounds like some kind of ring modulation.

This kind of effect is quite often a preset in many multiefect vst's.Try 'camel space' for star (it's a freeware).

What do you mean by that?

The intention, as much as I know, was to provoke slovenian/yugoslav public. And I remember that they realy DID!

They provoked the etablished norms of the brutaly rural polical elite in all ex-yugoslav republics,to which even those big YU-bands like Parni Valjak, Bijelo Dugme, Riblja Corba, with their folk-turn-rock-becoming-mainst­ream was to much.

So the intentions can only be considered in that context...

...On the other hand, the video rules. It rules mostly for it's scene, it's photography, it's ambivalent relation to modernity(like highway scene), all of which is tipical for the alternative expressions at that time in the period(especially those acts like Gledalisce sestre Scipione Nasice). And for this, it is going to rule many years from now. But this was not the intention, but the expression, or the way to express their intention.

And btw one is sure both the song, and the video rules!

smatram da je ovo jako slobodno i smijelo s' obzirom na vrijeme.. ali ako je iko imao pravo na slobodu, govor i izrazavanje svojih stavova, misli i ideja u jugoslavili to su bili umjetnici, posebno u muzici i imali su i mogucnosti da se izraze za razliku od danasnjeg vremena.. i zato cu do kraja zivota smatrati da nam nikada ova evropa kojoj tezimo nece biti doslijedna niti ravna :) jer imamo mi i druge neke vrijednosti osim materijalnih!

Slazem se u potpunosti da materijalne vrijednosti nisu najbitnije. Takodje se slazem da "evropu" ne treba idealizovati - narocito ne EU! Pa ipak to da nam "evropa" nikad nece biti ravna je vrlo diskutabilno, jer ni mi sebi (vise) nismo ravni - cak sam uvjerenja da je danasnja EU bliza "tadasnjim nama" nego sto smo "sadasnji mi" - I mozda se zato isplati teziti joj? Mada tu ima jos sto sta da se kaze, ne vidim da se nesto previse ne slazemo, tako da sam ti dao "palac-gore"
