A friend of mine is totally Golf crazy, he has owned 8 Golfs. Now owns a Golf 5.

Golf 3 has lots of places were rust occurs.

Further, lots of things on Golf 3 break down. Try Google search Golf 3 Lopez. Lopez was the VW economist who wanted to build and buy cheap, regardless of quality.

Golf 2 is rock solid.

Between these two i'd have the Bravo. Fiat engines are powerfull and longlasting. And Bravo's don't rust. They are way better then people think

I had a black 1.6 100 16 Valve HLX, the design of it beats all the other 1995 cars like the Escort & Rover 400 with a baseball bat! The handling/steering was always the crappest on Bravo's & so were the brakes but the engines & gearboxes never let me down. If the handling was better they would be laughing at the others but as cheap & cheerful as they are to buy, you can't moan.

they are just as good as each other. i believe they both had the best engine sounds for their best engines. VR6 and a Straight 5. Cant get any better than that for the money. both look good. but i do think the bravo has a more unique look to it. but thats my opinion, but overall both cars are superb.

I had a 96' Mazda 323c, a Civic 93' and now I own a Bravo TD 100. Never had a Golf Mk3 but i've driven one. I love the Honda engine. Powerful yet economic. Mazda just felt nice. Golf's cheap but i don't like it much. The Bravo has GREAT handling. Stiff yet comfy suspension give you lots of grip. The overall balance is very good, neutral through corners and if the back end starts stepping out a bit of countersteering fixes it. It gives you the confidence to push it through bendy roads. I love it.

Bravo is much better than Golf mk 3, i have 1.6 16v bravo with 250 000 km's and still no problems with enigine, only good lubricants and quality fuel, that is all that bravo wants!

A sto ne kazes da si iz bosne da se ne mucim da pisem na engleskom :)Na dizajn sam i mislio :D jedino je to bolje kod brava, udobnost je bolja kod golfa, cene delova su bolje za golf, motori su dobri i kod brava i kod golfa, ali samo fiatovi 1.2; 1,6 ; 1.8 16v benzinci i 1.9 JTD ostalo je djubre 1,4 12v nije nizasta trosi 10l na 100km a ne ide kako treba, a 2.0 20v cas izgori jer niko ne moze taj auto da vozi sporo :D kad bi napravili fuziju brava i golfa dobili bi idealan auto....
