I'm currently 19 and as for raising up on this type of country I was too, my mom made sure of it. So play it for you're kids 30 year olds and they'll appreciate it later.
i remember a video of him hooking up with a lady somewhere . he awoke to find a TATTOO . which he scrubed and scrubed trying to wash off ? now i was in the navy then and i DRANK MY REQUIRED AMOUNT OF ALCOHOL , but i swore that was the video for this song ? and where is there song they did for BEAR BRYANT ?
@Juliessecret haha I love roadhouse and most swayze films. I was watching this on amc and i remembered that alabama song right when it came on. I kept replaying it so i could search some lyrics that i could hear on google. I have a lot of alabama songs on my ipod but never had this one.
dang this band is still the greatest right now, been listening to them since i was 9 yrs old and now i'm 25 yrs old. But i'm from Texas so i still put George Strait 1st on my country list :)
I'm 26. I remember watching them on CMT at my Grandma's house in the late 80s when I was 3 or 4 years old. Brings back some memories. These guys are the Beatles of country music -- wildly successful, ahead of their time, archetypal for a whole genre.
I'm a rock and roll kind of guy. But I grew up listening to country music in the 80's working on cars in my dad's garage. Alabama, George Strait, Ronnie Milsap, Hank Williams Jr., and the list goes on. I love this music. My question to the die-hard country fans is this - When did Country music die? Because the crap that's on the radio now is a joke. Country hasn't been good in a real long time.
This is officially my favorite country band and I'm not even that into country I just love this band because they don't sing about depressing love song unoriginal crap like all the new country songs I love Alabama
@amsn2009aa im 17 and i love there music.....todays country isant......isant really country anymore to me since me and my dad lived up in the mountains with an old 78 chevy pickup with an 8track player hahaha and my dad had all these 8 tracks from after he got out of vietnam...thats one reason i think i like old music....most kids now days dont know most of the old music so they cant compair it to the new music...but...the old stuff i think is waaayyy better though ya know...
No other band can fill ALABAMA'S SHOES....NEVER...MISS THEM SOOOO MUCH..SO MANY MEMORIES SEEING THEM IN CONCERT & AT THE JUNE JAM'S...IT'S EVEN MORE PERSONAL WHEN U GET TO KNOW THEM :) NOT ENUF SPACE TO COMMENT HOW GREAT THEY ARE....
My Dad lived on a farm & loved country so much, he'd have his city buddies tape the videos for him! This song was a rewind for him one day while I was visiting. Alabama made me fall in love with country.
Not sure, they quit touring several years ago, I heard at the time they were still going to be making music, but it hasn't come to pass that I know of. So disappointed.
I'm wondering, why the numbers of the views for alabma is just very Little, and every body knows this guy as one of the best singer EVER. is it because he doesn't sing a club songs ???
@bigjake789 Sorry, didn't mean it like that. I just meant that I don't think todays groups/singers will ever compare to Alabama, or King George. I am and always will be a country gal.
Alabama has and always be the best country group of all time.I grew up listening to their songs. My favorite is Roll On.My dad used to be a truck driver until his accident. This song was part of our life and will remain so.
