zachary, no I dont think about my dog when im about to shoot a coyote, Im thinking about how many fawns he's not gonna eat in the spring now that he's dead. I also hunt deer and turkey and must say coyotes are the hardest animal to hunt by far. I was also wondering do you walk the fields with just your gun in hand or do you use dogs to flush the pheasants and quail out of the brush? wich btw were probably hand raised and released an hour or so before you shot them.
Depends on your age, location and skill level. We all start out at some point in time and most as youngsters. 22lr seems to be what most of us start with. 22lr is legal on coyotes most everywhere. If you pick your shots carefully to match your skill level I have no qualms using a 22lr. However I would highly suggest that when conditions arise that it would be better to step up to a 22 centerfire caliber for coyotes. 22lr is a bit on the light side to be effective 100% of the time.
@zacharygadow did you ever think about the need to control preditors for deer managment you hipocrit

@zacharygadow ,
Dear Sunshine,
Do you think about Bambi or a Parakeet whenever YOU pull the trigger on a deer or turkey?
Just what do you think coyotes eat?
I use the meat to feed a whole variety of meat eaters dimwit.
OMG! You are 25 years old and still playing with skateboards.
