Thanks for uploading. Great mood! Absolutely lovely barely intelligible accents, must have been some laughs in homes. :-) The video is lovely, with Derek drumming.
I'm a little confused, if that video was shown on the same show as that interivew, then does that mean "Promised You A Miracle" was recorded well over a year before it was released? Becasue they were talking abotu "Empires and Dance" which was nearly two years before "PYAM" came out wasn't it?
If this was the time of "Empires and dance" sep 1980 then JIm would have been 21 years old. so cute. Simple Minds 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th albums are worth checking out - they are very good and nothing like their pomp stadium rock of 90s
Yup. I grew up in NS, and the Minds were huge in certain circles there in the early 80s. My brothers and I really got into them when "Love Song" was released.
Great interview! Richard Berle contributed so much to cultivate the Montreal music scene and to our appreciation of diverse international musicians/bands. It's great to hear Richard's sexy voice again and to see his gorgeous face! Thanks Richard!
What year was this?
