@KiokoKutiePie No, top layers can't be long. They need to be EXTREMELY short. It isn't required for them to be teased either, because that's the whole point of teasing - to make it fluffier. If it is too thick it is harder to style - and harder to tease.

@IceFeatherBreeze555 You just have to get it layered. Be sure to tell the person who cuts your hair, that you want it layered on the outside to make it thinner at the bottom than at the top. It might look kind of like a mullet at first, but after a few days or a week or two it'll look better when it grows a bit and you can style it easier. My friend cut my hair for me so it was easier to explain, you should bring in a picture to show how you want it cut, it'll help the stylist. Goodluck
