@Audatiouslly This is an acoustic (standard) cello that has been miked. The tip of the mike is visible to our right of the cello's bridge. Miking a string instrument is not the same as making it electric. The latter involves magnetic induction pick ups for each string that create an electric impulse which is then electronically amplified, & often modified, to produce sound. The mike is picking up the full sound of Lori's cello, with all its harmonics .
