in the video makes your eMac G4 lines on the screen. I mean the stripes that go from bottom to top. If they only see because of your camera or because the eMac G4 so?

my iMac G3 boots up in 52 seconds,

he has 400 MHZ and 192 MB of ram with a 10 gigs harddrive and running panther, my hard drive is a kind of broken. and i've got it from the day that i bought it 2001. i'm now searching for a 60 gig hard drive more ram and a instal cd for tiger, i've got dvd drive

I had a Compaq Pentium 4 EVO and i remember after this one upgrade it booted up to xp in less than 10 seconds, I literally shit a brick and my dad was there too. We were both stunned, But now after 3 computers my newest and best one yet boots up in a total of 26 seconds running Vista Ultimate and seeming extremity stable. And i can do something that macs cant, And that's play games with out OS mods... :D

Yeah I'm used to my pc taking a day or two. I hear ya man. If mine started up that quick I would probably get pissed off. That wouldn't give me time to go do anything before I had to log in. PCs are too fast really. Just too much to handle. Vista is like crazy fast. It's so awesome. Crazy crazy fast stuff dude. It's like gay before you even get a chance to think "hey this is gay."

Yeah, but that's running either Windows 98 or 2000 and you're well past the system requirements for both OS'. This eMac is running an OS from 2005 (OS X Tiger).

You have nothing to brag about in terms of your HP booting up in 45 seconds. I have a stock Mac mini C2D with 1GB of RAM which boots up in 42 seconds to Leopard.

I also own an eMac. So sorry Apple chose to phase out eMacs in favor of pricier iMacs and everything else in their line. They are big and heavy (last Macs with cathode ray displays), but they get the job done.

I've got the same eMac (1.42GHz). Found it for £200 on eBay! If you want a cheap but good spec Mac then buy a 2nd hand eMac... the equivalent spec iMac is waayyy more!

Lol, most Mac-users always benchmark the boot time :D

however, I am probably going to get a G4 1.25Ghz version of this eMac just for curiousity, but I really think benchmarking only boot-time is useless, benchmark some software instead.

And yes, my E4300-based PC boots into XP a lot faster than this, so does my Pentium 4 1.8ghz. PC's have features in bios to speed up boot, keep 'em enabled if you are in a such hurry.
