Respectfully, I agree with sirseigan, the music was horrible and completely inappropriate but the video subject matter was very interesting, especially the black tent home life. The Tibetans are a beautiful people. Thanks for the video! :)
@Bendertent I agree with both of you! This was one of the first videos I did three years ago and to take out the music, I'd have to re-do the video and then upload again to YouTube. Live and learn. Thanks for putting up with it and taking the time to watch and comment. Best regards, Travels With Sheila
@travelswithsheila Hi and thanks for your reply. Did you know YouTube has an audio swap feature where they offer you free alternative soundtracks if you wish. All you have to do is go to your uploaded videos and click on audio swap and they will give you a bunch of selections you can listen to before you pick one. I hope this was helpful. Have a good day and God bless!
@ikhamo I find these black tents superior shelters in many ways. Light and travel well and allow smoke to pass through the slit in the open roof. These hearty Tibetans have learned to live in extremely cold temperatures. They sure are a tough and resilient people. Thank you for your comments, they are most welcome. I also hope for a free Tibet. God bless. :)
@ikhamo I would really like to know how to build one. I couldn't use yak hair here in the U.S. but I would try to make it from another conducive material. Is there anywhere that shows how to construct a black tent?
i havent come across any. i think this will need a lil researching. if i find any, will post it. they spin the yak wool on a tibetan spindle. i have seen tibetan spindle video here on YT - search for it. these nomads also weave their cloths from these yak hair or sheep wool, etc. their weaving machine is made from wood.
the music dosen't go well with the video
