für solche sendungen hat die momentane gesellschaft weder bildung noch zeit, denn beides hängt eng zusammen. aber ich bin ganz zuversichtlich, dass der neoliberale spätkapitalismus in absehbarer zeit überwunden sein wird.

Remember, she was a foreigner, singing in French. But today she is one of our greatest visitors and the gay community has made her an icon. Thank you for posting this! A lovely interview! I can't speak French, but I can speak German (and English obviously), so this helped me understand what she was saying. I wish WDR would've put German subtitles though instead of covering their voices.

Ses dents auraient eu besoin d'un bon brossage.
Selon la légende Piaf, elle n'était pas très propre sur sa personne.
Son hygiène laissait à désirer.
C'est pour ça qu'elle aimait se vêtir de noir.
