  • you can change the unit to metters or other, it must have something there thats says that, if not, add the picture as it is into the plane and it will automatically fit. :)

  • mmh how can i find the lenght and width of a picture to put it in a plane??

  • well you select the picture with the right botton of the mouse, then choose properties. A new windows will open, now you can see the lenght and the widht, i hope i helped you. If you need something else, just ask

  • You are the shit. Your accent is sweet!@

  • yes i know that is a way but i dont know how to :S sorry

  • I sent you an email. The email you give on your cloth video. I used that one. I sent you the IMVU link there because I tried to send here, the post doesnt go!

  • IMVU is a 3D chat. I am a developer there! You should be there! You can make a lot of money with your creations! Yes, you can make many things, furniture, clothes, weapons, houses, rooms.. here is a link:

  • Hi, can you make a skirt mesh (something simple) and show how to upload it to IMVU? please, I ve been working on a skirt for days now. I make it but i can't assign materials for some reason. And I can not upload it to imvu. When i upload, the skirt area looks empty, because xmf file is not working. I don't know how to fix this. Do you know IMVU?

  • im sorry but i dont know imvu, maybe there are not way to make a shirt and upload it into imvu

  • Hey, that is a great tutorial and your English is very good! Thanks for teaching me!

  • im glad for it, thanks

  • thanks dude, am a begginer in 3ds. you got anymore tutotials? like creating a character.. head, arms, legs.. etc.

    stay well

  • Great tutorial, thanks for the help. =P

  • thanks i will do more tutorials soon :D

  • pretty good english

  • thanks for the support :D

  • hi joaoxlourenco i have a question, i can not find the option you said in the modifier list for the plane object, i try to find in the object-space midifie, have i a download that space midifie object from web?

  • Well, the modifier i said in this video is the "Cloth", and you can find it in the modifier list, but as you say if you don't see it, it's because you have an old version of 3D Max. I used the version 8. I hope this help :)

  • gracias :D xd

  • thank to you

  • Nice tutorial.

I was thinking if you wanted to make like a tshirt, select the faces of the editable mesh around your characters chest. Detach them as a new object. Apply a push modifier very slightly. Then apply the cloth modifier as shown here?

Think that would work alright? =/

  • well i never tried to do a tshirt this way ( by the way 3D Max is very bad with cloth), but when i make a dress or pants or something else i always do it by not using the Cloth Modifier, but by using the Cloth Reactor, 'cause with cloth reactor you can animate your cloth with more realism, but i will try to do as you said to see if it work well.

  • hi again, i tried to do as you said but it didn't worked very well, 3D max is very bad with cloth and actualy im thinking on get OptiTex, you should see their presentation, its a very good program to work with cloth

    good luck :)

  • Nice, but... This is VERY simple effect. You can show how create a T-shirt, or dress with "Garment Maker".

  • haha what im trying to teach is the basic of clothing. if you want to make a T-shirt you only need to creat a model, you can use different tecniques to do that, one is get a plane and "cut it" or using "Garment Maker" to draw a cloth using lines, and after you finish your model, just increase to it the cloth modifier (that you can found in the modifier list) and finally you only need to "program" the cloth animation by doing the steps that i teach on this video

i hope i have helped you

    stay well

  • Nice one, ur english is good, and u've explained it much better than any other tutorial that i saw, keep the good work

  • thanks for all the support

  • very cool men. but why sometimes the cloth gets trough the object? i made just like you but with a smaller sphere. please answer

  • it happened to me at my first time and then i discovered that the problem was in the plane segments (Length Segs. and Width Segs.) rise it up to like 50 or 100, and you will see the diference

i hope i have helped you, if not please let me know

  • you are bether then me to english

  • thanks :D:D

  • That was cool and funny turtorial. Your english is not so sux :))

  • thanks for the support tomak84 and actually my english is getting better looool
