uh, fyi, 43 mph for a 17 yr old is not really all that fast considering that most college pitchers at any age tend to pitch somewhere in the high fifties, low sixties and that any decent highschool pitchers tend to pitch somewhere in the mid fifties. So, basically my point is that awesome is not exactly the word I'd use; there's no doubt that she's a good pitcher but with without real speed she's an average pitcher at best. This is my opinion, like or not!
uh, fyi.. I do not pitch 43mph, I would really like to know where you got that from. I actually pitch on average 56mph, and this was a video from last year. And the fact that the title had awesome in it made you want to watch the video, right? So obviously the title did it's job and my college coach is actually quite impressed with the way I pitch, but thank you for commenting and watching my video =)

hey.. I am 18 and I am a pitcher. I am going to college to play. one thing i noticed that you do is pick up your back leg at the end of your pitch. That it is ok that you do it but also not. if you push with your back leg more at the end of your pitch it generates more power to the pitch itself. it allows for more speed. so if you can drive with your back leg a little more and for a little long you could see a difference in speeds. good luck with everything.
i'm a pitcher too and your have really good form. but you do have a thing what my coachs call short arming, i had the same problem. if you extend your arm out and come up with your elbow pointing right at the catcher you'll gain more speed that way.

One last thing. the last few pitches Curveball... well since shes a lefty, it's more like a screwball, since a lefty pitcher to righty hitter the curve ball breaks in on a righty hitter. The point is your mechanics are off and telegraphing your pitches. You need to make all your pitches look as much alike as possible.

She is mediocre at best and is ok for a rec-ball pitcher. I once thought my daughter was a Billy bad as of a pitcher ,WRONG! Although better than this pitcher. She and I both got a rude awakening! Her mechanics where way off and she was taught to follow through like this pitcher... Cont below.
Ya she is good and all but after she releases she touches her shoulder and i am with gerald warner the #1 pitching coach in Colorado (proven fact) and he told me that if you do the touch your shoulder thing after you release it could cause serious tendonitis

i'm a pitcher for baseball not softball. But what she's demonstrating here is great form. She doesn't favor any one side more than the other. She could use a touch up on her figure 4 though. It could injure her later on b/c of the spontaneous deceleration in her legs.
Not bad, but she'd be even better and much more accurate if she extended her glove point (meaning, extend you gloved arm out until you are looking down your nose at the glove and then point the glove at your target.) instead of bending her elbow, and she needs to use her body, not just her arm, if you get what I'm saying.

Hello! This is kinda werid but I am 12 years old. I pitch around 50-53. right now.
And play REP softball in Canada.
and if she can throw 50 and have control (which im battling for) then its perfect.
BTW, i pitched 43 2 years ago, meaning i was 10.
