I'm taking an international food course at school. I'm making Samosa's next. They look really good :D I'm excited! I've never tried Indian food before.
The stuffing part we do it alittle bit differently in nairobi, kenya. We actually use flour paste to make the triangle to stuff. But same thing I love samosas. Namaste
@Odelightful1 Maida i.e.all purpose flour is the main ingredient for the pastry shell in traditional indian samosas and I have never tried it with plain or self rising flour. why not, for sure give it a try..let me know if it works out..i am excited to hear all about your cooking success!
Hi, this looks like a great recipe! Thanks. I have a question that I hope you dont think is too silly.. What kind of oil should be used? Many thanks again.
@anothershade Glad you liked the recipe..oh no..ques is silly :) I use Canola Oil but you can use any refined oil, sunflower oil or other vegetable oil. No olive oil or coconut oil (not suitable for deep frying these..)
Quite a few years back, my boss's wife used to make samosa's (both the beef and veggie) and they were FANTASTIC!! I cannot wait to make this and see if mine turn out any where near as good as I remember hers to be!! Thank you so much for this!!
i love the way you and mom teach us making wonderful samoze ....:)
i must try this ...it look so easy when your mom make them, but they really are tricky for me, but know i am more confident to do them ...thanks 4 sharing ...<3<3<3
@BlowDevilUp Aww..Did I disappoint you. Sweetshops(Mithai wallas as we call them specialize in sweets but also sell tons of salty snacks :)) Hope the recipe was worth watching !
