It is also an American State, with a system of checks and balances like other states. She does not have absolute power, where are you getting these facts? Churches have beliefs and people have beliefs but just because my church says abortions are wrong I still think there are cases when an abortion is necessary or should be considered. People aren't all puppets doing their religions biddings. Abortion, Gay Rights, Music, TV, Healthcare are all personal choices. Churches advise, what we do is our own choice. i believe in God but what gets me are people who think that God only looks out for their interests and their beliefs alone which is a farce. to go to a church where a pastor condemns you for your party affiliation is rather scary. does the pastor think he is God himself?

Actually These types of nut jobs didn't voice any sort of opinions about whether or not Bush willfully lied to the legislative branch of Government or not. More importantly the House didn't pursue this strigently enough, or just chose not to investigate, I can't remember anymore.

I think the "saved" people believe they are going to get taken up to heaven in this lifetime. This means, of course, that THEY don't have to care about future generations, or the environment, or even worldly politics. They can screw it all up, and then when the chickens come home to roost they will be partying with Jesus, without a thought for us sinners left behind.
