gerwalk mode s very nice looking compared tot he other versions of the valkyria i think, also is this the first version they released? i bought a alto custom vf-25f super messiah.. and HOLY mackeral it is really fiddlely and fragile.... and the landing gears don't fold in!!!
The model that I have right now is really great, but for some odd reason the Gerwalk mode refuses to stand up without falling over when the feet are extended outwards. Am I doing something wrong?
What scale is this model and does the cockpit open? I got the VF-1A from Yamato and it's and incredible piece of technology. From what I've heard and what I see here the Bandai and Yamato models are not only the best out there but also handle very similar technology.
@Wizartar The cockpit does open, it's in the instructions and is easy to do. I had a bit more problems opening the Yamato YF-19 cockpit, since it was on a very tight hinge.
If you live in Manila, you'll find plenty of VF-25 toys in Greenhills. Just look for GreatToysOnline and Wasabi Toys on the top floor of Shoppesville.
man this Plastic model is pretty difficult to transform because when i try to transform from fighter to Battroid, i am afraid that i twist the joint in wrong way and it will snaps. luckily the joint is a bit tougher. i had the Michael one
I have found the way to fully get the neck and head area into their maxmum position and height. The chest piece needs to be pivoted even further down than what you have shown in your video to lock the neck and collar assembly to display properly. The head, neck and collar will make the figure a lot more awesome. I have detailed photos if you'd like to see. send me a message with your email and I'd be glad to share!
no there not its base off of comic book artwork which is pretty kool no joke if ever do look into it i hope to see a review of the kit thnax for answerin my question
You have a very imporesive collections and videos well presented you make me feel like having the same hobby but may
I ask can you do a video on Bandai Macross Frontier 1/60 DX RVF-25 Chogokin GE-45 Ive seen one in ebay and I have save enough money to get one in ebay but wanna see your input before I buy my first model or display.
I have it, but haven't had time to review it yet. It's still in the box as I've no where to display it at the moment. I'll be doing a review of in the near future.
The Macross series never dissapoint me. Every Generation of the Variable-Fighter gets more complicated than the other. First was the VF-1, then the VF-11, the VF-17, The VF-19 and VF-22, Now the VF-25 and the VF-27.
Did you know that the VF-25 was suppose to Transform like a VF-1 in Fighter-Gerwalk mode and like The VF-19 in Gerwalk-Battroid mode so that it can wear the Armored pack in Fighter Mode and inherit the varablility of the VF-1(since the VF-1 cant Use Armored Pack In Fighter mode)
Actually, I guess that Shoji Kawamori wanted to combine all the Variable Fighters into one for the 25th anniverssary of Macross. But I guess that he wanted the VF-25 mainly to look like the VF-1, since it was his first creation, and first appeared on screen in Macross SDF(or Robotech), which was the first Macross seire ever.
Any time I'm asked I'll always say the same thing too much! But look at somewhere HobbyLink Japan (HLJ), the price of shipping varies I got this send to Ireland so it won't be the same price for you. The price is on the site.
Posibly dumb question: I am guessing this si the prebuilt version. I am thinking of getting the Super Messiah Valkyrie Alto Custom kit. Having trouble finding any videos on the kit version.
Yes this one is the toy, but I've got the Ozma custom snap together model kit. I've uploaded an unboxing video showing all the parts. It's about 1/3 built hope to upload a comparison video next week, once it completed.
That looks VERY cool. The degree of sophistication that the VF-25 holds over previous Variable Fighter designs just jumps in your face immediately.
I think I'll stick to my Yamato-brand VFs for the time being, though. Their "perfect transformation" designs have me spoiled, and the matter of Bandai's VF having to remove the shield to transform, or swap hands to hold the gun, is a bit of a turn-off.
eckergus, right now Bandai has an exclusive license to do reproductions of Macross Frontier stuff. Yamato won't be able to touch the VF-25 until Bandai's license expires.
I got the lowdown from discussions on the MacrossWorld website forums. There's people there that eat, drink, and breathe anything and everything that has to do with Macross.
Awesome in Fighter and Battroid mode but has minor flaws. Interchangeable hands, limited movement on the hips and the peg near the waist line pops off quite easily. I'm getting the 1/72 model kit
Hi Wizartar, I got Alto and Ozma Chogokin only but these minor defects are bothering me. On the other hand, Macross Frontiers are just too good to let go. I intend to get all 1/72 model kits. Hopefully these made in Japan kits holds better. regards
I've been looking at those kits, very nice! But my model building skills need more work, as the kit looks like it would require a good bit of painting & decal work. I've seen the decal sheet and it's freighting.
You need to build more and the right tools plus lots of patience. I dont usually paint them but I do apply the stickers though. And to me that's tough to do and there is one thing I cant do till now is getting those "water based" stickers to stay on em. Perhaps you can get some tips from 2Old4Toys :)
I've been sticking to the Gundam & built 4 1/100s and am halfway through my first MG... so far so good. The plan is to try one more MG then pick up a 1/72 kit. While cheaper then a DX they're still not Gundam cheap so don't want to mess up the build because of some simple mistake. But also want to do all the panel lines & major colours right!
I'm sure 2Old4Toys is sick of me looking for advice off him! :) But that Man is a Gunpla Legend! Go to his channel and check it!
Good thinking, the more you build the better you are. Skills will come along the way. Glad to hear you are doing the MG. And if u love Gunpla, PG is a must!! Once u get into PGs, there is no stopping for u. 2Old4Toys is a pro!! Good luck to u.
is this the GE-54 VF-25F or the GE-42 VF-25F?

The newer generation Valkyries are a lot lighter and more compact than their VF-1 counterparts.

Are the tires on the landing gears made of rubber, or is it just plastic?
ASCH16091987 2 years ago
For this 1/60 scale they're rubber, 1/100 & 1/72 are plastic.

Exactly, except that the nose brakes like the sv-51.
The position of the head and the superior part of the torso also remember to the sv-51.
