  • fuckin deadly

  • blind chi sao does have a purpose and is for beginner's not sifus.

all it teaches is sensitivity...but you need eye sensitivity brfore you get arm.

by being blindfolded, you learn bad habits...many great WC sifu say the same thing.and are againest it...

  • 5 *****

  • what is the song!!??

    great demonstration! astounding!

  • excellent Sifu!

    well done.

i have been owned in a very similar fashion. sometimes it actually aids in focus to close the eyes. :)

  • Having the knot in front of my face would piss me off so muchlol All the more impressive demonstration in light of how distracting that must be on times, a well deserved five stars.

  • This is the best blindfolded chi sao I've ever seen!! 5 stars*****!!!!

  • Awesome! 5 stars!!!

  • whats the point being blind folded if the blind folded guy is the only one attacking

  • 0:50 and 4:40 = fucking rad.

  • "if you can even earn the privelidge to do so!" We are not in ancient china and this is not the '70s. I pay for a class to learn. I don't do my teacher's dishes, wash his car, or wipe his ass. I respect him and expect respect in return...as a human being. If I don't have the opportunity to work with and learn from him, then I go to another school where I can. Pure and simple. I really feel bad for you. I am not being sarcastic. You are misguided.

  • excuse me this is a demonstration how can this be misguided

  • "If you say something negative about him then you're questioning your Sifu's judgement. Is that wise?" Wow! Incredible demonstration of independent thought. Of course you should question your sifu. And, if he is unwilling to answer them or if there is an atmosphere that is created which shuns asking questions, then perhaps he doesn't know the answer...either way you'll never know when you just accept things blindly.

  • Nitelitemusic, "Something to think about boss next time you spar with your teacher(if you can even earn the privelidge to do so!)" Let me ask you something...has anyone in Grados' class ever sparred with him? If yes, what percentage? Very little...I know this for a fact. You are, unfortunately, misguided. And, yes, I've met and chi saued with Ed. In fact, I specifically said that I know he is capable of a lot more. He is very talented with Wing Chun.

  • WOW

  • Just an observation but, all the dudes with the nasty feedback never have anything on their sites to offer. Always a blank page. Grados rocks!

  • why did he tie the blindfold in the front of his head?

  • I like very much, it excellent. muy bueno, mucha sensibilidad y practica del wing chun. es uno de los mejores sifu k e encontrado hasta la fecha como practicante. niko.

  • Damn, I love this stuff

    you are so good !!

  • i was taught by one of Grados' students, totally awesome sigung

  • very good video

  • damn grados doing his thing

ive been doin wing chun for like 5 yrs and i cant get the blindfolded chi sao down quite well

  • i thought this chi sau was excellent, i might be that good one day, thanks

  • i hope i get that good as well.

  • As one Grandmaster told me, "If you think you are good or better, you must go see for yourself"! Youtube gangstas, don't talk about what someone else can do, do it better then talk. Peace to Sifu Grados

  • i wish i was that good !!

  • I don't comprehend the ill comments to this video, sifu grados is doing a great job and he will keep on getting better at what he is doing. Much respect to this style of fighting.

  • yo rankinsr

this is not the best chi sau anywhere. in you watch care fully the other guy drops his hand and then he does a move or hit. so time he pulls the other hand away completely or put it down no bro not that good.

  • If you disagree with me then you should point me to something better. But save it if you're thinking of Emin's demonstration. Grados is doing better stuff in this video with a blindfold on.

  • hey there. I also do wing chun in adelaide australia. i was lucky enough to goto hongkong and china to train with Sigung Tsui Seung Tin.. im only a junior instructor... si hing. i love to see other versions of our style. im hoping to get some more stuff on here about our wing chun. dont worry about negative comments... everyone is an expert.. remember...lol

  • Believe me- There's a ton of footage that's floating around in various places with Ed and Sifu Grados that's way better than this, but that's in the possession of students from our seminars and Sifu's private archives!Trust me-I know!

  • @rankinsr Wing Chun No See Chi Sao..look that up on youtube. better than this..

  • @hatingtherich I took a look at the video you suggested. While I disagree with your assessment, I do appreciate the fact that you pointed me to something rather than just make blanket statements. For all of those who want to take a look at the video he is talking about it is: UQqZuR88t2k

  • The idea was to demonstrate a deliberate flow. The blind fold shows the sensativity to the Ed's movement-no matter how sublte or small can be felt by the Sifu. So what YOU call Ed dropping his arms,he's actually being intercepted before he has a chance to complete a movement. He demonstrated tons of techniques that you should've been picking up.Sifu is demonstrating slowly for the sake of the art so the techniques could be seen. He's not trying to fly around and look sloppy just to impress people.

  • Sifu Grado impressive as always.

  • I think was doing a great job against grados. Just remember this bro:

    1. You gotta be relaxed. It's essential to chi-sau for action/reaction time.

    2. Even though your hands may have one over another, make sure that your wrists don't cross. (Instant trap)

    3. One thing you'll learn doing that exercise blindfolded, when you don't feel anything GO FORWARD!

Your opponent will either take the hit or block so you can react.

    4. Keep practicing. I would love to be in NY to train with you. One.

  • In the Kill Bill videos, Bill really is trying to get in. I've seen Ed and Sifu do this live and its a shame there's music on this video cause if there wasn't, you'd know what I mean by the Oscar. Ed makes some great grunting noises which are clearly unecessary. Again, maybe this is just a demonstration, but even still it could be a little more believable if Ed wasn't feeding such predictable moves. I've chi sau'd with Ed, so I know he is capable of A LOT more.

  • Dude-do you really know about Ed?- he traveled with Sifu doing countless demo's all over- Sifu even thought enough of Ed to send him to Arizona to Fong's Seminars. If you say something negative about him then you're questioning your Sifu's judgement. Is that wise?

  • Ok, so I'm a huge fan of Grados, but his sparring with his student Bill is way better. Perhaps this is just a demonstration, and for that Ed gets the Oscar. He is clearly not putting in a wholehearted effort.

  • Oscar? Let him put you in a joint lock,or sweep your feet,or kick your knees. We'll see how much you grunt! And as far as kill bill throwing haymaker punches at his sifu? Some people would interpret that as totally disrespectful swinging at your Sifu like that-no matter how great the Sifu is! Even Bruce Lee's students never swung at him like that!

Something to think about boss next time you spar with your teacher(if you can even earn the privelidge to do so!)

  • relaxed background music!

  • again sifu grados demonstrates awesome skill

  • sorry I fail to see this skill
