I love fish, poor little fish, who could kill such wonderfull fish? oh, i can barely watch you hack up that poor little fish, cant you eat just vegetables? please only show cooking vegetables....
I want to move to Japan, but nooooooooooooo fish for me !!!!! Such a pretty lady hacking up a poor little fish, just makes no sence
@TheHappycatt its a damn fish bro. damn take a trip to some american slaughter house. how about ppl decapitating horses alive and skinning them, now THAT'S something to worry about. not a primitive fish.....
Thanks this is great. I've never bothered properly filleting a mackeral because of the way we eat them. Our Northern European variety doesn't seem to get too big where we catch them, so they're often just grilled and eaten quickly. If buying in a shop they'll be smoked ready to eat. I find that mackerel go off very quickly so it's best to get them real fresh. If I can get a fresh one I think I'll experiment with other country's takes on this beautiful fish.
A woman who likes fish and knows how to sharpen her knive ! Fantastic ... and she sounds and looks beautiful. BTW "The hole right there" is the butthole ;)
When seasoning with salt (or outer similar "spices") you don't acualy have to sprinkle it from too far away, just grab some salt and hold it like if you were holding a pen upside down (palm up) and shake your hand left to right letting the salt flow from between the index and the pointer finger.
Requires some pratice but works better and does less of a mess :)
Mouth watering. Man you are a great teach i wish you did more cooking videos in English. Also i wanted to know, could you do the broil cheat with skinless fish as well? I really don't like the taste of fish skin.
Boy, that dish looks great! And, now I know how to filet the fish too. Mackerel is one of my favorite fish. Thanks Misa, I'm going to be following this vid this weekend.
I cut the head off and gutted it. Then found this video. I did not cut into the top of the fish as I forgot and the filet was not the best. I've just ordered some tweezers from eBay for next time. Thanks for the video!
Those posts about my bitchiness is entertaining but I made this video for people who are interesting in learning how to filet a fish. My personality is not so important here..... although, I can be nice from time to time...especially when I'm not hungry :)
this looks like the ideal woman . good looking , can cook, and handy with the knife . those quality's put together in my opinion make up for a bad personality , if so .
@treetree761 my friend ! learn to digest humour b4 replaying to one of my comments . and do not replay an less you have something smart and witty to say . Donkey !!!
@florifikaj do you mean reply? And why does being a good cook have anything to do with a bad personality? It is like saying Sarah is a great artist therefore she must be a bitch.
where are the flavours? you cooked the fish without oil just dry and served it only with lemon!! your filleting skills are grate but i think the fish would taste like nothing darling haha..its ok....damn you are hot!!!
Very nice video and nice instruction. It makes me feel like I could do it.
One question though, you served it still skin on and skin up. If I were to eat it, should I try to peel the skin off or should I be flipping the fish over?
We Japanese enjoy fish skin, believe it or not. It actually is tasty when cooked right. If you don't like the skin, please feel free to peel off. It's like chicken skin, some people loooove the crispy fish skin...and I'm one of them.
Excellent. The lady is excellent have a natural charm !!

The Deba is a highly specialized knife for butchering fish - designed to do one task extremely well. Misa demonstrated this fact quite well.
