@meisterjager66 Amperage is only part of the equation. volts * amps = watts. In fact, the title of this video displays his peak performance: 1KW. But it was pretty consistently below that.
you must like running the microwave, AC, 5 tv's and such at the same time.
i easily run my computer for days on just 500 amp/h 4 batteries. 300w solar setup has the batteries charged in 2-3 days. so PC/LCD screen, 5.1 souround and internet router all on free energy. in fact fridge and ac is all thats on mains anymore, since i rarely use the tv.
i built a badass PC once, had 8gb ram dual ssd in raid0, over 3 TB hdd space, 6-core 1090T blackedition overclocked to 4.2Ghz, and it only ever consumed about 400W with my sli video.
Well done. I like how it doesn't have a tail. Does it rotate into the wind like a parachute pulls or by some other mechanism ? Nice job, Watching it rise was very interesting.
Good job man!

@plaugewolf I have a 900 watt PSU in my computer.
nexus1g 4 months ago
@nexus1g
and i bet you only use about 20% of that. lol
6-core processor = 125W
mobo = 20-50W for peripherals and buses
vidio card? nvidia 9800GT used like 80W

@plaugewolf eXtreme PSU calculator states my system should have a minimum of a little over 800 watts.

dude, all those batteries off-gassing. I wouldn't be sparking any wires near them. Is there a charge controller?
truthharbor911 2 years ago
look at the battery plugs, there bubbling under the loading volts! it's producing gass!

what did it come out of and can you recommend a good motor to use for a similar project
dracos78 3 years ago
I don't know where it has been, but I bought it at the junkyard, it is difficult to find appropriate
motors with permanent magnets.
danielturbin 3 years ago
what kind of motor are you using ?
dracos78 3 years ago
its a 180V 1750rpm 2hp DC-motor.
