Hey thanks, I am really glad that so many people have viewed the video and enjoyed it. Yeah I rode on those trains for many years, but they don't use them as much now that the trains have been switched to the new kind.
Thanks. Well I didn't make this all at once. I filled parts of the trains rides in section as I commuted around the city. That is why it is snowing on some lines and others its cloudy or sunny. But the I think I spent 2 or 3 days editing the footage which was shot in 16 second bursts. I got the music to sync up in like 20 minutes, I think.
Hey thanks, I am glad to see new people coming by and viewing. The trains are an interesting ride. I might have to try to make something new, just have to think of a good goal or reason to shoot. Thanks again, its very good to hear.
Thanks bud, can't wait to see America. Stopping off in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvannia and staying at a hotel in New Jersey, just near the city. Then staying in Shenectady, NY before I head home to the Great White North. About New Jersey... New Yorkers make fun of them alot. What's New Jersey like?
NJ is ok, but don't see much of it, becuase usually I am just passing through it on my way to Michigan. I did go to the Newport mall, but not much different then other malls, still nice though. PATH trains run into the city by the way.
Yeah, actually I was really confused at first cause PATH is also a huge 26km (sorry for the metric) shopping complex that weaves under downtown Toronto. PATH is all caps for some reason but just implies underground paths. The NJ/NY one is an acronym which cleared things up
I'm reading the MTA website alot,I always liked trains and transportation in general.Even thinking of being a coach or inter-city driver.Get to see the best of Canada and U.S. I've never left Ontario except for Buffalo,NY and the Atlantic provinces when I was only six months old.I Want to see Montreal and Vacouver some time as well as the Rockies. Also like to see California and Florida in the US.btw Would a Canadian debit card works with a debit terminal in New York, or do I just exchange cash?
Not sure, but if it backed by Visa or Mastercard, I would imagine it would work. Best bet is to call your bank or card company. There are banks in Manhattan that do, do currency exchange.
(Part2) Canadian dollar is about 94 cents American so thats good. MTA map is nuts, seriously, but seems more efficient than Toronto's four subway lines... can't wait. Can anyone tell me if New Yorkers are really ignorant and rude, or is that exaggerated? Prob like how everyone thinks I would drink maple syrup, love hockey, or that Toronto is clean... none of which are true.
Hi, I am originally from Michigan, so yes the subways seem tough at first. New Yorkers ..... can't asnwer that one;)...no just kidding. Most New Yorkers are nice on the train eventhough it gets a bit crowded during rush hour. Two things that might help riding the subway. Buy an unlimited Metrocard ,which can be purchased with a credit card, so you can get on or off as much as you want. Also all subway stations have train and bus maps at the Token booth.
I'm going to New York City this September. I live near Toronto, so that's as much big city experience as I've had. Toronto is 2,500,000 people and that seems crazy enough, curious to see a city of 8,000,000.
Very elaborate video, lots of different speeds, angles, lights, soundtrack. Maybe the end of the clip is strange (seems to start again after the word "end") Alain from Paris, France
The first song on the video is "Something on my Mind" by a Jazz band in Europe called Root Position. It on the "One for the Road" album, which is very difficult to get in the States. The only reason I have it is cuase I bought it from them when they played at the Flint Jazz Festival. Its definitly a recommended album:). If you find anything new by them let me know where you got it.
nice R-40 slant. i wish i was in nyc

Going across the Manhatten bridge and looking dwontown towards the brooklyn bridge, that view is one of the best views in N.Y city imo.
I loved that journey so much.
Thanks
