Truly deserved award over the last 20 years and especially this year. At his age he has shone in the premiership this year which deserves an award alone. Being such a consistent performer last season (winning a 3rd premiership in a row) and starting this season in a central midfield position after ruling the left flank for years truly deserves this! He'll be playing in goal in 5 years time after becoming a sweeper!

Football fans should make the most of it....Giggsy is one in a million who was cut from different cloth.
He is the definition of loyalty.
With money playing the part in football today.... it will be rare to see soon.
He loves United and United will always love him.

@JimJordan1000 well they never retired the number when George Best wore it after he left the club and he is one of the biggest Man United legends of all time. I believe in other sports its a tradition to retire certain numbers but in a sport like football which is so steeped in tradition and history especially at a club such as man united you need to keep that number open to inspire the next player to wear the shirt to play like Giggsy a true legend of the game..and hopefully he never retires ;)

True, but he is the embodiment of loyalty......same with scholesy.The way the modern game is now, I doubt we will ever see players of their type again. Total loatity, haven't chased the money or the fame, unbelievable professionals. I'd make an exception for those two.
If United was a person , that person would be Giggsy. We're so lucky to have seen this generation of players.

Truly deserved award over the last 20 years and especially this year. At his age he has shone in the premiership this year which deserves an award alone. Being such a consistent performer last season (winning a 3rd premiership in a row) and starting this season in a central midfield position after ruling the left flank for years truly deserves this! He'll be playing in goal in 5 years time after becoming a sweeper!
