Sammy is obviously a better singer and writer, but Roth is the best frontman that ever lived. Period. With Hagar, Van Halen was a band. With Roth, they were a verb.
I LOVE Van Hagar. Prior to watching and videotaping this special on VH1 in 2002, my father and I already had "OU812" and "Balance". After watching this, I went and got the other 3 albums they did with Hagar; "5150" "For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge" and "Live: Right Here, Right Now". Since this special, I've enjoyed learning about Sammy's "Cabo Wabo" experience. Thanks gossett2006!

What's he gonna say, his writing got more girly and commercially appealing to those who like softer rock and prom type songs?
