I have to say that if u see profesional bellydancers, she's not one... shes a singer that dances and she doesnt dance bad but i dont like her style at all... I'd never seen a dance with rope... anyway she had helped in the popularization of bellydance in all the world.... I just liked the first performance.

She has been belly dancing since she 4, and this is just one particular dance that she does. She changes it a bit with each tour. Her dances from Ojos Asi, La Tortura, and Hips Don't Lie show off some of her skills (controlling speed and synchronizing with the drums well, and some contortion). Her style is a mix of Lebanese and different Latin dances. At any rate, it's just folk dance no matter how you look at it. Most professional dancers mix their styles from Mediterranean and Asian countries

It must be jealousy. Who cares if she's not a "real" belly dancer. She created her own style by fusing a bunch of dance styles together. I think that's even better because nobody dances like her. She's unique and women should quit being catty about it and praise her instead.
