April,1970. Instead of working on my DHS Sr. English term paper, a "friend" talked me into hitchhiking over the car bridge and walking back on the train bridge. AT NIGHT! After we made it back over that ancient train bridge, which was totally harrowing, we had to run past the guard in the guard house, who immediately yelled and came after us, firing a shot into the air. We luckily outran him, but I still shudder to think about what we would have done with an oncoming train on that bridge!
excellent! goes into my favorites! the river, birds, light, fishing boat, bridge...just a teriffic scene and well captured. i have been going nuts waiting for some green trees to video, but the winter trees in this video look GREAT!
I got lucky and the clouds broke as this guy came onto the bridge. This area is a hidden treasure for a railfan. There's trains all the time and the scenery is outstanding.
I'm glad you liked it and thanks again for the complement!
Lol, I'd be suprised if it met the emissions levels there. The DPU especially sounded like it was running in dynamic mode but none of the engines sounded like they were really working. I remember hearing, before the train came into the shot, someone doing a rollby inspection of the train comment on how bad it was.
I love this one too! Awesome!

Apart from 5680 & 5722, what is the unit number of the DPU?
rdrogel 3 years ago
Excellent location - another great video. I guess that DPU was really working hard there for a minute. Wonder if those were Tier 2 emissions?

I didn't get it but I'm fairly sure it was 72Z.
