  • Will someone here please identify the other people in these photos? Just curious. This is one of my favourite John Lennon vocals - that bbbbrrrrr! is a moment that belongs to him.

  • @hellterskelher you are awful if u think the beatles are awful

  • To answer your question, yes The Beatles did a BBC recording of Slow Down during July 1963 and was broadcasted the following month. About one year later they released the Long Tall Sally EP that included the album version of Slow Down, the one that is familiar to us from Capital's Something New Something New LP

  • a band Dakota use to play this

  • Yeah - it's an album cut - I think they are referring to the rare photos - note John with his Buddy Holly glasses - the title of this is a bit misleading. And judging by the E chord John is holding in one of the pix, it isn't this song anyway. Did they even do 'Slow Down' on the BBC in '63? Regardless - great old pix!

  • i wrote this song

  • Love the production of these early recordings. Its got something special

  • Nice slide show - I hadn't seen many of these pics. I have a Beatles Tribute version of Slow Down if you get a chance to check it out. Regards, The '62 Mathew St. Band (1 Man-Full Group Retro)

  • this is NOT the Beatles live on the BBC. This is the album cut for God's sake.
