This is just amazing!! Wow!! I am so in love with this song and Justin just melts my heart with his ever so beautiful, angelic voice!! Just peirces my heart with its beauty!! His voice is pure magic for the soul and he is such a love!! A true gentleman. Thank God for his love of song writing. This world would be at a true loss without his beautiful songs!! ILY Justin!! Pure perfection and brilliance!! ♥♥
@FreddyVallow: I have seen the Moody's twice in Boston, first time when Ray was still with them. When they did this song with twin drums, it about blew the roof off the concert hall! I'm told this was popular among the first Brits posted to Iraq when having a few with the Yanks. (Listen carefully to the lyrics, song is about economic decay in post-industrial Britain. That strange noise in the beginning is emulating factory machinery getting up to speed.) This should have been a monster hit.
I just picked this dvd up "An Audience with Justin Hayward at the RRHOF". It is very very good and informative. Justin Hayward and an acoustic guitar....doesn't get much better than this!
Their non-inclusion MUST be intentional This is a tidal vave band in the development of modern popular music...no conscious music afficianado could ignore them, they must be shunning them for some reason.Maybe failure to bribe,,,or being too high minded.
I don't understand!! was justin or the moodys ever inducted in the rock and roll hall of fame? I'm just baffled because they are one of the best groups of all time up there with the beatles and the who etc.
You can see how good Justin sounds a capella--and how good he is with the guitar. Add the voice and the songwriting and you have the world's most talented rock star!!! Justin can do ANYTHING HE WANTS WITH THE GUITAR--acoustic, electric, Clapton riffs, whatever---extraordinary talent!!!!
so true so true. justin sounds great a capella that is a true test of real true talent and that he posseses the world of, glad he saved thaat fab guitar riff.and put it to this grreat song. it's one of my fav's

My BFF just sent this to me with a note saying "This is SUCH an us road trip song"
We saw these guys in Colorado a couple times in as many months in 99 and when they did this song we just froze then bubbled over! My first live show was the MB in like 70 and my sons first show was the moodies in 85...can not go wrong
One guitar, one voice. But he filled that whole place with warmth, excitement and inspiration. UNBEfrickinLIEVABLE !!! Thanks Justin

Shockingly, the Moodies ARE NOT in the RRHF. Justin as a solo artist isn't either.

such is the intelligence of the RRHF.

Awesome talent. My favorite R&R star from my favorite R&R group. Too good for the pitiful Rock Hall!

Moody Blues rule. Rock & Roll Hall of Fame sucks. They indicted Toni Basil before the Moodies? They ignore other lifelong rock icons. FUCK ROCKHALL.
ROCK ON, MOODIES!
