  • I wonder if there are 68 more virgins like these that the enemies who were peed on by our proud men serving this country will encounter in Hell? #USAis#1

  • Wait a minute. This isn't Danity Kane!

  • Their harmonies are just spot on, I'm actually amazed by how tight they are.

  • where's the girl with tny hands?

  • Wow ,how can you tell ? They are ALL knockouts !!!!!

  • The first one is the prettiest of them all !

  • the difference between the sisters and that nut gaga is that the sisters didn't have to act wild to be noticed. They were know because they were talented. Gaga is talented, BUT her stuff she puts out is trash imo. She should have been a jazz artist from the get go. Refer to her and Tony Bennett's video ("The Lady is a Tramp") to see why. Until she gets her act together, I don't really respect her. The sisters were/are a class act.

  • @calihartley2010 if you can't appreciate music and talent as a whole instead of your narrow-sighted stuck up view, stop pretending to have a fucking clue about what you're talking about.

  • Not what I was expecting when I searched for lonely goatherd.

  • AND IM JUUUUUUUUUUDYY!

  • I never saw these girls up until now (didn't grow up during this time), but they are really talented and beautiful. I may be of the hip-hop generation, but I appreciate this kind of music. :)

  • @NatKat921 Good for you

  • Kathy is so f*cking hot.

  • @emdashrocks Which one is Kathy?

  • @NatKat921 Sexy one on the left who kicks off the song.

  • @emdashrocks Okay, thanks! I agree, they're all pretty but she's just... whoa. :)

  • what is up with their dresses?

  • It doesn't say what year this is, but it must have been after Diane came back.

  • @amadeusamwater 1965 !!!!

  • They're undeniably very talented and adorable, but I do get some sort of Stepford-esque vibe.

  • Did anyone else find this clip through the SNL Lawrence Welks Show parody?

  • what the heck is wrong with people making nasty comments. They are not wanted here. Please show some respect here. These ladies are more talented than lady KAKA and Snoop dog and lil wayne and other so called talented singers. These ladies were pure class and should be respected. Please get a life suckers and let people who truly value talent appreciate this song.

  • @calihartley2010 These girls are very talented, but Lady Gaga is also one of the most talented singers on the planet. When you say stuff like that, it doesn't make you seem more tasteful, it makes you seem deaf.

  • @MarkMcQueenOfficial If you are equating these wonderful ladies to lady Gaga, then you have no taste at all. Please go and defend Lady gaga on one of her pages and do not soil this page which is dedicated to these talented ladies.

  • @MarkMcQueenOfficial Lady gaga is talented in your dreams. Now get lost.

  • @calihartley2010 Seems you are making some nasty comments yourself. So, to turn your question on yourself, what the heck is wrong with you? You've got to admit, this performance is a bit white-bread, bland. But that was what they did, and you either like them or you don't. My thoughts, to take such a bland R&H song and make it even blander is quite an accomplishment.

  • @inhighspeed If you do not like this song, then get the hell out of this page and go listen to cold play and lady Kaka. Godd riddance to bad rubbish.

  • This reminds of Family Guy when Peter turns Joe into a puppet and makes him sing this song.

  • haha-I SO wanted to be the youngest Lennon sister ;) So CUTE! I wanted her hgairstyle-

But my mom made me get the stupid 'pixie' haircut till I was like 10! I just adored these girls-perfect harmonies

& professionalism all the way. Thankx for posting.

  • Absolutely Awesome !!!!! Beautiful Ladies and voices that can't be equaled !!!!

  • One of the Lennon girls kind of bears a resemblance to Julie Andrews.

  • surprisingly Caucasian.

  • Back in the days when women weren't afraid to be women, the Lennon sisters were the essence of femininity. Not only were they a lovely vision to behold, they were loaded with genuine talent and honestly earned their fame and fortune.

  • @frisco21 Are women afraid to be women nowadays?

  • @frisco21 What the fuck does "back in the days when women weren't afraid to be women" mean? You mean when back when they stayed in the kitchen and pregnant like it says in the bible? PLEASE GO BACK TO 1950.

  • @krullulon high five to you

  • @krullulon and you stay in the ghettos with your hippies

  • @calihartley2010 "and you stay in the ghettos with your hippies." And you please go back to 1960. Seriously? "Ghettos and hippies"? LOL.

  • @krullulon Yep, that is where all the trash comes from. I would rather go back to 1960 than deal with people like you.

  • @calihartley2010 Enjoy your fantasy world where everyone is a heterosexual white christian, where women stay home and have babies, and where men call the shots. The rest of us "trash" will enjoy running the actual world and watch you become nothing but a bad memory.

  • @krullulon Wow really. So you prefer a world run by crappy politicians where minorities are given power just because they whine about something that happened years ago. Come on grow up and smell the crap. It ain't smelling pretty.

  • their voices are just beautiful

  • Kathy is my favorite.

  • @ghuntersrule22 Each one has thier following, and rightly so! Thet are ALL beautiful a talented. Each in thier own way, which makes the group so special !!!

  • they are so pretty.

  • What happened to the young ladies of today? This here is the epitome of what I think of a young lady. That damned SEX AND THE CITY show ruined everything. Girls, let's get back to basics!

  • @Drillin4Oil "Sex and the City" ruined everything? There's so much wrong with that statement, but whatever...

  • When I was a kid in a house with one TV, re-runs of Lawrence Welk came on Saturday night. My Grandmother lived with us and all she wanted to watch was this this dumb stuff. All I wanted to watch was anything else. Now that I'm grown, I'd give my left arm to sit down with her and watch it together...go figure.

  • @clockguy2

That is so kind and perceptive! God bless her soul!

  • I love them ALL!! Absolutely adorable!

  • I've only scene 1 video of hte Daughters of Peggy,Janet and DeeDee do they tour at all? Anybody know I was inmpressed with their singing with their Mother's

  • great...brings back greatmemories of early evenings in the catskills of NY (which is now deep deep in debt, from what I gather)...

  • @pissedatpez Absolutely not, all very normal except very, very talented and beautiful as you can see !!!

  • @boatracer39 i was looking sooo hard you have no idea

  • @pissedatpez , thanks for asking the "hard" question. We were looking pretty hard too.

  • That was perfection, the harmonies, everything...

  • A lot of people watch old re-runs of Lawrence Welk and say, "Gee, this was a simpler time in America. I'm from Canada, we all watched Lawrence Welk. He was born near Bismark, Nd, not too far from here. I don't know if we'll ever go back there, but one good place to start on the road to recovery would be to eliminate all the nasty and derogatory comments that appear on these pages.

  • one of them sounded like Julie from Sound of Music

  • A reminder of a simpler time in America, before the Vietnam War and Watergate made cynics of us all. The Lennon Sisters were lovely to behold.

  • @frisco21 i'm not so sure 1965 was a simpler time - - a perusal through the pages of the new york times or sf chronicle or chicago tribune from 1965 might be a good way of checking that; but in any event, this is real entertainment!

  • Part of me wishes that the world was still like this.

  • OMG, did we ever really wear our hair ratted up that much?

  • @bigollameo If you don't like this kind of intertainment, why do you waste your time making nasty comments where you are not wanted ! I think you are part of the problem with America today, but that's just my opinion !!!

  • @bigollameo - You have just made the dumbest comment ever posted on YouTube. Congratulations.

If you hate this so much, ... WHY are you watching it? This WAS and IS great entertainment and talent.

  • I think "Hi Ho" is definitely the best lyric. Are they singing it to each other?

  • *dies*

  • My grandmother was so cool ! When Lawrence's show came on, my grandmother would tell me to change the channel...she didn't want to watch those "old people".

  • What do lonely goat herders do on a Saturday night?

  • Make sheep nervous.

  • Oh my, times have changed haven´t they.

  • And not for the better.

  • And I'm Judice!!

  • ha!!!! good one!!!!!

  • @Yourmomisnthere Oh I am sorry sir

  • @Yourmomisnthere NICE!

  • I remember first seeing this in the early

90's on PBS. The only problem was that they didn't show that many Lennon era shows, usually it was a '70s show.

  • That was strange, seeing the Lennons were Welks biggest stars !!!

  • Ant now de luffly lennon sisters,,,anna one anna two....

  • Transports you over to Switzerland with all the alpine horns!

    Multi-talented songstresses born to sing!!

  • 1:41 to 1:49 is just incredible to listen to.

  • My mom was pincurling my hair the last time I heard this! Oh, I never want to be 13 again!!! But I also cringe when I see 13 year old girls today!

  • Not terribly aware of how jokes work, are we?

  • Much simpler of a time.

  • whats with all the mean nasty comments? I thought was very well done and those ladies are really talented.

  • honestly this sounds kwl and is catchy

  • The original recording of this show was taped in color. This episode was taped in November 1965, and that was the year that the Lawrence Welk show went to color.

  • Comment removed

  • Was this colorized? The curtain is B&W?

  • umm, the curtain is just colored in silver, my dear.

  • @Sheri451 Good observation!

  • I get them mixed up.. which one is one the left?

  • Kathy!!

  • Lefty

  • I hope we are through with all these nasty comments and can get back to the objective of these beautiful and talented ladies !!!!

  • What in the HELL are you talking about????

  • Your opinion sucks, they are dressed as women from the highlands of northern Europe !

  • Each one of them could have gone on to a career on their own,but thank God they stayed together and we have all these memories today!

  • I've never been able to get enough of them!

Their voices are as sweet as they are and I only wish some of our music today could just hark back to this sort of simplicity; I really think we'd all be a hell of a lot happier if we did.

  • put your head phones one, close your eyes. it's better than an a bowl of sherbet.

  • Wow, their arrangement is great and the harmonies are spot on. They sing it so effortlessly, too! Very well done.

  • Their impeccable musicianship was really taken for granted but in retrospective it certainly is remakable.

  • corniest thing ever....but they sure can sing

  • So corny, its actually hip !

  • Gwen Stefani should have used this video in her video.

  • THIS is talent, a lost era :(

  • OMG!!! They are S00oooo Pretty......

  • Peggy is my FAVORITE! She's the dark haired on second from the right. :)

  • Yep,we definately know who Peggy is! She has been my love forever!

  • wow they have amzing voice.

  • Peggy's the third Lennon from the left, right? She's got the most beautiful eyes!

  • I've never seen 4 girls that love what they do more than these girls. It is evident by their wonderful smiles.

  • I Love these Lovely Lady's and these wonderfull Clips from a Forgotten age of real Talent. Thank Goodness for YouTube and thank you for posting these on here.

  • do you bye chance have "Lovely Hula Hands?" With a child dancer by any chance? ^_^

  • Unfortunetly I don`t. I do have "Let me be There" performed on Welk in the 70`s but is done by other performers. It`s very likely the Lennon`s made a recording of it though as they covered so many songs over the years.

  • Thank you for looking. I really appreicate it. And thanks again for sharing your postings of the Lennons.

  • Henry Hall - песня про волка:)

  • Henry Hall

  • Thanks for posting this. I really like the Lennon Sisters. I was wondering with all the clips you have of The Lennons, do have a clip of them singing "Let me be there"? It was a song I like from the 70's that I heard them sing it back then on a Monty Hall special and The Bobby Goldsboro show. Olivia Newton-John sang this song also, but I really liked it by The Lennons. Thanks

  • Gosh Thanks for putting that on I love Peggy Lennon, she is my favorite sister!

  • She is certainly beautiful ,but they all are!!
