so do these lights need to warm up for a few seconds to get to their nominal light output? like those energy-saving domestic lightbulbs... or are they like the halogen bulbs when you flick them on they shine as bright as it gets...?

@svendewulf Xenon is a element. A gas that needs a few seconds to light. Heck you could even use sodium light if you wanted. That sucks though, super yellowish light. Thats why they use xenon. Look up the periodic table and do some research on what the hell this shit is.

im looking to put a HID kit on my celica 190, would u recommend? did you change whole headlight or just the bulbs - if you what i mean?

@ajaichohan The bulb needs to go through a ballast which charges the bulbs with high end electricity. You can see the xenon on the bulbs, the pink lines.. You dont get that with just xenon look bulbs.
