  • nah i dont think she will be too popular online. well im hoping she isn't. she is a very difficult character to play as, so the ones who will use her just because she is top tier, will suffer hopefully. lol. i plan to main her myself, but not because she's top tier, its because her character desgin is soooo cool.

  • This game is amazing! It was nice to see another Taokaka, he definitely has a crisper juggle than my self.

    I think what a lot of people need to learn is this is a very punishable game. Finding the right opportunities to strike and keeping your opponent guessing will come down to knowing the characters and their moves. HUGE things can happen from a well placed strike or throw. Which is sick because you can combo throws and counter attack with throws!

    Astral finishes need full tension bar, opponent needs 33% or less hp on the last round..

    its the same as using 2 supers, just flashier

  • I was referring to Rachel's gigantic, ridiculous, 50% damage loop at the start.

  • Abusive combos like GG, see for testament badlands loop combos, zato's combo, jam's combo and much more abusive combos from GG, of course they need some practice and precision. Some of them don't even need tension bar for cc and fcc xP I wish play this game ASAP

  • Average combo in this game is way lower damage than GG. A trap character being able to do 50% in this without traps is the equivalent of the Badlands Loop doing 80% rather than 50%.

    This game might not be more broken than GG, but it's at LEAST AS broken. And since the characters are boring with no gameplay tricks like GG, that means I still don't understand why people want to play it.

  • Well keep in mind this is sort of like the next GG and the majority of the players of this game are going to be former GG players. If you're not really into guilty gear than this probably won't appeal to you as much but if you are than perhaps it might.

    I personally like the new graphics and most of the charachter designs. The gameplay mechanics seem to similiar to what I'm used to so it should be easy to adapt to. Besides the combos may not be the most intresting right now but it's

  • still in the early stages. I mean the game isn't even a month old. I'm sure a year from now everything that is being performed will fail in comparison to what will be done.

  • I love Guilty Gear. It's a little broken since Accent Core gave bloody everyone loops, but I still love it.

    I hate BlazBlue because the characters are... Less. Ragna is just Order Sol without a Charge gauge. The glasses chick is Bridget with less moves. Tager is, admittedly, a cooler Potemkin. Noel, though interesting in design, seems utterly boring to play as. No Zappa-style summoning, no Venom-style projectile layouts, no Testament style trap strings. It's GG1 with better graphics. =/

  • I'll give you that. There really isn't an I-No replacement charachter for me. :(

    I really like Noel's attacks though, Jin's too.

    I think another factor is alot of people fear that Accent Core is the last of the GG fighting games and if they're being force to move on then why not move on to something as close to GG as you can get.

    I mean it probably appeals more than SF4, AH2, or MBAA to most.

    I agree about accent core could be the last guilty gear or maybe not but they'll do another guilty gear in the time of overture (I guess)

  • If everyone has a loop, how is it broken?

    It's a new series, you have to give it time to develop. It essentially IS GG1 with better graphics - it's the first of many. The system is solid, the action is fast, and I have to disagree with you as far as character design goes: I want to play every character in this game, as opposed to never really having any interest in some GG characters (I hate Jam with a passion). Different strokes.

  • While I don't really like that BB is like a GGXAC replacement, but equavilent to GG1 I'm at least happy that there is a replacement...on the ps3. On the 360 we don't even seem to be getting a BB1/2 or something. We got GG2, which was nothing like the good old times of GGXX. I was so disappointed I didn't even play the game I just found out the storyline, since Sol is my fav character.

    Basically my point is at least Arc Systems tried something, and its not crap. Its just not fully developed.

  • Bang also has Bang install to increase his speed and give him better offense, but it removes his ability to block. Ragna has Blood kain which drains health but gives him better offense. You obviously havent even taken the time to look at videos. If you want a character that makes up for the game being slower, play bang, he has bumpers which give him the ability to instantly do crossups.

  • Have you even played the game? I main bang and he has guard points with mixup pressure as well as jump cancel strings, otgs on counter hits and character specific combos. Ragna plays like Sol, but moves more naturally and has good pressure with a decent dp. Bang doesnt even HAVE a dragon punch. Ragna has 0 projectiles, bang has a limit of 12 per match. Jin has unlimited projectiles, different attacks, a safe dragonpunch and better zoning than both bang and ragna. Play the game first noob.

  • And how is blazblue broken? I dont see any triple unblockables here? Damage scales to 0, infinites are useless, throws are much easier to break, tension gain isnt broken by what character can apply the most pressure anymore. Unblockables dont exist minus astral finishers, which have like 50 frame startup. You're bad.

  • No, you lose your barrier gauge for the rest of the round when you burst, regardless of whether it hits or not.

  • well, this isn't guilty gear. in this game, you definitely don't want to burst in the beginning, because you take double damage after burst, effectively cutting half your remaining health. because this was an 50% combo, it was basically the same if he bursted or not, but this way his burst remained.

  • Burst on the first chain and take a +50% damage modifier for the rest of the round? Cause that makes sense.

  • Posted that when I didn't know a landed burst caused the modifier.
