@BornAgainstMormons I've struggled with this inherited condition for since my early teens. Wow. I didn't know McCraney had the authority to ban anything. And you know what else is funny...I've never heard anything about him banning anything.
@BornAgainstMormons Uh, are you saying he does have the authority to ban something cause that would be interesting to learn, a Mormon who lets Shawn McCraney tell him what not to look at.
That's funny. That would be like me banning Facebook. Answer me this: When did banning ANYTHING ever work? Prohibition era.... you couldn't find a drink in the roaring 20's could ya folks? "Nobody smokes weed because it's illegal." ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? The list goes on. Ignorance. Stupidity. Redundancy? Possibly.
@BornAgainstMormons I still don't know who this guy is. I never even heard of him until recently when I found all these anti-Mormon videos here. Who the heck is he?? And why does he have so many videos? I'm a convert to the LDS church and find them offensive and ridiculous.
@cindybin2001 Pastor McCraney is another anti- Mormon who was excommunicated for adultery and abuse and in revenge is trying to take his pound of flesh. A common occurrence in the Book of Mormon.
When we are holding tight to the iron rod, we are in a position to place our hands over theirs and walk the strait and narrow path together. Our example is magnified in their eyes. They will follow our cadence when they feel secure in our actions. We do not need to be perfect—just honest and sincere. Children want to feel as one with us. When a parent says, “We can do it! We can read the scriptures daily as a family,” the children will follow!
"Grandfathers watch with gratitude for what you have all done," he said.
In closing, he asked the Young Women leaders to "continue to focus on the Lord Jesus Christ and on His teachings" and to help young women, and young men, "be worthy of the great blessings of the holy temple where they will receive all that our Father has in store for His faithful children."
As the grandfather of 26 granddaughters, Elder Nelson said he is grateful each has a value for faith, divine nature, individual worth, knowledge, choice and accountability, good works, integrity and virtue. He said it brings him peace to know that "in this world where values are questioned or ignored, there is a source to which they can turn to learn these choice values, introduced under Sister Kapp's administration.
According to Nola Christensen, here is how the process worked at Cove Fort: "After the tour, we asked them if they would like to leave a message for their nonmember friends. Then we would call (over the entire country) and read the message to their friends. We would get reactions like, 'They thought that about me?' And then we would ask if they wanted a video delivered to their home."
heir next mission assignment — Cove Fort — was also a little closer to home than Africa or the Far East. Aren't all the tourists who visit Cove Fort already Mormons? Just about, the Christensens said, but that was no deterrent.
At the Jubilee Meeting, all eight former stake presidents either spoke or had comments read to the congregation, including memories of visits by Elder Bruce R. McConkie, Elder Petersen, President Spencer W. Kimball, President Gordon B. Hinckley and President Monson.
We give them our best, because in the end what every child needs is what we need. What every child wants is what we want, someone to love them unconditionally like our Father in Heaven loves us -- someone who will be there with outstretched arms to gather us in."
And her conclusion is insightful: "Life has taught me that when it comes to parenting it is not our job to save our children. It is our job to show them where salvation lies, regardless of whether or not our ideal of an eternal family unit is rejected by them.
Addressing missionaries currently serving in Taiwan, President Uchtdorf remarked, "You are the pillars that are sunk in the ground for this nation. Work your heels off and do it for the right motive. There will come a time when these people will remember you. Even the people who rejected you will someday remember you and be grateful for your service. Generations to come will praise your names."
How can one man ban a website?? Is he that powerful in your eyes?? Why would you give Shawn that much power?? He only wants you to read the bible. Is that so offensive to Mormons??
Tanya Kinner believes in keeping her food pantry well-stocked in case of emergencies, but she knows the cupboards are bare in some Winnipeg homes.
That's why the mother of three young children is helping to co-ordinate a food drive today for Winnipeg Harvest with other members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, more commonly known as Mormons.
What’s more, at a young age, the Filipinos have testimonies that are born of having too little, and still are surprisingly grateful for what they do have. If you are in the Philippines, the most ready comment from young Church members is that they feel the love of God in their lives, they need Him, and they call on Him regularly, often for things as basic as what the next meal will be.
Within days, Guatemalans had to endure the eruption of a volcano and the destruction of a deadly tropical storm. The catastrophes caused major destruction in the city of Xela.
The Apostle John wrote of the same theme in the Book of Revelation when he compared the church to a woman who flees into the wilderness (see Rev. 12:6), and the early Jews believed that the Ten Tribes were lead away into the wilderness where they would not be molested. Even the Latter-day Saint pioneers fit within this motif
Congregations of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout Polk County and other volunteers completed 10 service projects for the second annual Day of Service recently.
A total of 390 volunteers donated more than 1,157 volunteer hours during the event.
Using the example of a lioness at the gate, Sister Beck spoke of the role of women and the importance of prioritizing the essential things in life.
"We have to know what are responsibilities are and how to fulfill those," she said. "We know that as women of God, this is a time that we need an increase of faith and personal righteousness."
As if in answer to that question, Sister Beck made the long-planned trip to Virginia, knowing that her father likely would pass away while she was gone.
In addition to speaking at Southern Virginia University, she also conducted leadership training with priesthood and Relief Society leaders from the Buena Vista, Roanoke and Waynesboro stakes, and spoke at a women's conference for sisters from the stakes.
"What is your mission?" was the question, to Bangerter's daughter. And, the response was, "Marry a reformed drunk who talks too much and likes to pontificate and hear the sound of his own voice."
"This is well, my daughter," came the reply.
So, this Bangerter woman looked around; saw Beck; and, married him. End of story.
Such miracles of transformation are "one of the great wonders of this Church," Brother Beck said.
Despite the large number of attendees, the training session was informal. Audience members were invited to stand and share their experiences and thoughts regarding their calling.
Shawn is a saint compared to Joseph Smith. Shawn did not spit in the face of Jesus by desecrating 1 Tim. 3:2 &12.
For most of Mormon history leaders taught that members were not Christians. These days they push PR hard that they are Christian because their young, upstart cult of religion is hemorrhaging at the Smith-stitched seams.
Fortunately a very vast majority of the members of the body of Christ are discerning enough to know & understand & appreciate that the one church of Christ most certainly is not comprised exclusively of members of the Monson movement of Maroni.
with the column for the temperatures and morning weather shown in the accompanying reproductions of the microfilm image. The weather for early spring is summarized in Figure 1, which shows the 7 a.m. temperatures as well as whether the weather was clear (yellow) or cloudy/rainy/snowy (grey).
Plainly, although none can deny some harsh rhetoric over the years, Mormon respect for Catholics long predates the 2009 centennial of the Cathedral of the Madeleine. In fact, it dates to the days of Joseph Smith himself. Referring to the mob burning of the Ursuline Convent near Boston in 1834, Joseph remarked:
Joseph Cramer, M.D., is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, practicing pediatrician for more than 25 years and an adjunct professor of pediatrics at the University of Utah
Taiwan stake: It's been just three years since the last stake in was created, but just this weekend a "New Stake (was) Created in Taiwan." Matt explains "It appears that the Kaohsiung Taiwan Stake was divided to create a second stake in the city...There are now 11 stakes and two districts in Taiwan." Wow!
Mission presidents: Get a glimpse into what it's like to attend a "Mission Presidents' Seminar" with this blogger who relates lessons learned and how it energized him. And as a bonus note: "the Europe Area was up last year in baptisms for the first time in many years. They will be up even more this year." Cool!
Every time you kick Mormonism you kick it upstairs; you never kick it downstairs. The Lord Almighty so orders it.
So spoke one of the early presidents of the Mormon church, Brigham Young, during his tenure of office in the 19th century. It is well that his words should be proclaimed anew, in light of recurring criticism.
No Young said, you kick him on the moon. Young is in the moon because Quaker like people live on it...YOUNG said it himself. So bend over so i can kick you WHERE THE GOOD LORD SLIT YOU!
For them, however, its been a little more difficult. During their childrens time spent away, custom dictates they may only contact their parents once a week via e-mail, and twice a year on the telephone on Christmas Day and Mothers Day.
Those days are ones to which Ellen and Bud find themselves eagerly counting down.
They have to begin preparation years in advance, because its kind of a mindset, said Bud Dunn, Ellens husband and father of Caitlin and Josh. They have to decide its something they really want to do.
Living the life of a missionary obviously requires something of a transition, but the parents agree their children had taken to their new responsibilities and surroundings with ease.

Listen to Sandra Tanner.
If you can listen to this and remain a slave to the LDS church then you deserve what you get.
Sandra Tanner, a Great-Great-Grand-Daughter of Brigham Young.
A woman who knows more about Mormonism than any of you 19-20 yr old so-called "Elders" will probably ever know.
She and her husband Jerald (r.i.p.) have spent 50 years telling the truth about the LDS.
She has never been accused of telling lies, not even by the LDS.
Her words ring with truth.

When I get an overdose of Mormon disinformation I go listen to Shawn for a while and get the truth.
After Shawn covers all the bases I go listen to Sandra Tanner (Brigham Young's G-G-Granddaughter) and hear the same things.
When Sandra Tanner speaks very few Mormons will even try to present a counter-view.
Mormons hate Shawn and lie constantly about him.
If you don't like Shawn then don't view his Vids.
But there are plenty of other people saying exactly what he is saying.

I AM THE ONE that asked you for "facts" just a couple of posts up from here--with---AGAIN---no response!
Your education (or lack thereof) seems to focus on making unsubstantiated generalizations...

@42apostate You don't think adultery, drug abuse and familial abuse makes one a horrible person?
BornAgainstMormons 2 months ago
@BornAgainstMormons
Sure I do.
There's plenty of that going on in LDS, Inc, so why worry about someone who is not a member?
Shawn "repented" of those things so why do you want to keep it alive?--to make yourself look good?
Misery loves company I guess, which is probably why you want to drag Shawn down to your level.
Shawn confessed his past misdeeds right here on YT (and other places)--which should demonstrate his level of honesty. Why don't YOU do the same...?

It is easy to see that there may cultural differences in looking at
these examples. Today, we wouldn't dream of supporting these
practices, but they were culturally acceptable at that time.

PROVO, Utah -- For every challenge there is for a senior missionary couple, there are blessings to more than match.
In fact, in some families, the children are begging their parents to serve again because the blessings that come while they're serving are so rich.

We would get reactions like, 'They thought that about me?' And then we would ask if they wanted a video delivered to their home."
omiolo 1 year ago
heir next mission assignment — Cove Fort — was also a little closer to home than Africa or the Far East. Aren't all the tourists who visit Cove Fort already Mormons? Just about, the Christensens said, but that was no deterrent.

If you filter your youtube channel and then bad mouth someone else for filtering their website, you are being hypocritical.
It's not the difficult to understand.
I never said or implied anything about filtering faith or banning info, those are your words .
Your ability to see one thing and recognize it as something else is what allows you to be fooled by Mormonism.

Using the example of a lioness at the gate, Sister Beck spoke of the role of women and the importance of prioritizing the essential things in life.
"We have to know what are responsibilities are and how to fulfill those," she said. "We know that as women of God, this is a time that we need an increase of faith and personal righteousness."
omiolo 1 year ago
As if in answer to that question, Sister Beck made the long-planned trip to Virginia, knowing that her father likely would pass away while she was gone.
In addition to speaking at Southern Virginia University, she also conducted leadership training with priesthood and Relief Society leaders from the Buena Vista, Roanoke and Waynesboro stakes, and spoke at a women's conference for sisters from the stakes.
omiolo 1 year ago
Sister Beck's father, emeritus General Authority Elder William Grant Bangerter, passed away at the age of 91 on Sunday, April 18.
In the preceding week, knowing that his health was rapidly declining, he had asked her, "What is your mission? What were you born to do?"
omiolo 1 year ago
@omiolo

Every time you kick Mormonism you kick it upstairs; you never kick it downstairs. The Lord Almighty so orders it.
So spoke one of the early presidents of the Mormon church, Brigham Young, during his tenure of office in the 19th century. It is well that his words should be proclaimed anew, in light of recurring criticism.

For them, however, its been a little more difficult. During their childrens time spent away, custom dictates they may only contact their parents once a week via e-mail, and twice a year on the telephone on Christmas Day and Mothers Day.
Those days are ones to which Ellen and Bud find themselves eagerly counting down.
omiolo 2 years ago
They have to begin preparation years in advance, because its kind of a mindset, said Bud Dunn, Ellens husband and father of Caitlin and Josh. They have to decide its something they really want to do.
Living the life of a missionary obviously requires something of a transition, but the parents agree their children had taken to their new responsibilities and surroundings with ease.
