@BABYGODZILLA2009 Honda Civic Type-R makes 0-60 in 6.5 sec by the specifications. Impressive for it, BUT. All BMW's that have 3.0l I6 and larger V8s do it in less than 6 sec. Some like 335i and 645 will do it in 5.5 and less. And also the RWD will count as an advantage. while you spin your wheels with your front while drive civic a 645I should of been far if the driver wasn't a noob!.

@Whisper427509 That has nothing to do with a Japanese engine, did you hear the supercharger? a BMW out of an assembly line (like all cars) are built to last, not 1.5 years with 400 horsepower. You would get zero return out of a car if that was the case. In reality you can get any car to go this fast; however since the Civic is an economy car and is peanuts in worth you tune it because you don't car if it dies. It's ugly and you only drive it if you have to...

@BABYGODZILLA2009 Honda Civic Type-R makes 0-60 in 6.5 sec by the specifications. Impressive for it, BUT. All BMW's that have 3.0l I6 and larger V8s do it in less than 6 sec. Some like 335i and 645 will do it in 5.5 and less. And also the RWD will count as an advantage. while you spin your wheels with your front while drive civic a 645I should of been far if the driver wasn't a noob!.

@BABYGODZILLA2009 ok ill admit honda rules if your a mexican but really i work in a mechanic shop im ASE master certified and what i mostly see in the shop are hondas civics accords s2000s pilots you name the honda ive seen it in the shop getting quit a bit of work done and its not performance work and sure hondas can be made fast but then your stuck with a car that sounds rides and looks like shit so im pretty sure i win the argument and by the way mind your own conversation bitch

@ecentricgorilla well it's definitely supercharged haha, so he's put many $1000s into it. My MOM has a 645ci and I was surprised how fast it was when i drove it the first time. That civic definitely deserves some respect!

All people that shit talk about honda and its engines are idiots! first of all you cant compare a civic type r with a beemer 6 or any other cars that you talk about! 3.5 liter v6 or v8 (dont know and dont care!!!) against a 2 liter 4 cylinder engine!!! i just wanna say what would be if the honda had a 3.5 liter engine? it would kick the beemer in the balls!!! so next time you compare a type r or any honda compare it with a car with a simmilar engine!

@Saab93V3ctor Yes i know what mistsubishi has done with the evo! and the evo has a turbo! what about the first s2000 engine? and yes hondas are now built for point a to b! what about the hodas built lets say from 1988 2 2001! their philosophy was to make cars like a race bike! and they did just that!

@jureva22 That's not true at all, they made fast bikes and they made economy cars period. The S2000 was made particularly because of the success Mazda was having with the MX-5. Old men in mid life crisis's who couldn't afford a proper race car would get these 'cartoonie'(my opinion) alternatives and surprisingly that market niche is huge. You cannot compare a Honda bike to a Honda Civic, that's retarded and you should get your head out of your ass rofl.

@jureva22 Hell no, and why do you say Vtec like its a turbo? It's a valve timing system. I've owned a Camry with VVT (no big deal). Been inside 3 Civics that have caught on fire while I was in them. Trust me, there is no comparison from economy cars to everything else. Civic's usually charm ppl because its their FIRST car since they haven't driven anything else they have no idea. However it seems like there is no getting through ur fanboyism so I am done posting. Wallow in ignorance.

Completely different classes! Of course, if the Civic were stock, the BMW would win. But the difference in cost is substantial here. I'm sure the BMW almost cost twice as much than the Civic. If you gonna have a fair comparison, go for some cars in the same pricerange.

@Whisper427509 That has nothing to do with a Japanese engine, did you hear the supercharger? a BMW out of an assembly line (like all cars) are built to last, not 1.5 years with 400 horsepower. You would get zero return out of a car if that was the case. In reality you can get any car to go this fast; however since the Civic is an economy car and is peanuts in worth you tune it because you don't car if it dies. It's ugly and you only drive it if you have to...

Again proving my point that if you're not doing well, you buy a Honda, that's why they're made; that's why the Civic doesn't have a turbo(makes it last longer) and any other luxury item.
