the way fl studio works is just very far from anything professional. if you even decide you want to follow this as a career you'll have a hard time switching to protools or whatever professional application you decide to use.

fl studio is actually a very good program abletone live and fl is all i use because nothing compares with the beat mapping in fl studio but the piano roll sucks and the midi mapper

I used fl studio for a while and then i did move on to "better" programs however those programs where nothing without the fl studio beat mapping... Cubase is a program i just bought within the last 2 years and that is an excellent program for alot but again the drum mapping is weird so i use fl... Fl is a very basic program kinda sux for alot but again about the drums the drums are very fast and easy to use for any kind of song the melodies the bass and pretty much everything else sux with fl...

I got a remake that sounds a lot more like it...but I don't have all the notes down (everything but the synth hook is pretty much laid down, also my strings end before the first hook). Would you be willing to work together to remake this? This is seriously my favorite song of the decade, and I would LOOOOVE to have a nice remake.

Wow, thats really good. Very accurate synth sounds. What plugin did you use? Did you program the patches yourself?

first of all thanks for the comment.

I used sytrus pads and slim synth for the remake and a soundfont called strings legato. The names of the pads i used are "alone in the dark", "gated (gold) saw","fat saw" and "solist lead" from the sytrus folder. The WAH pad that you hear in the beginning is my own creation with slim synth. I tried to make it sound like it is in the actual song. I changed all these sounds a bit to get the exact sound from the song.
