@Deadlycub1 I think the developers just threw that in for effect. This is an old preview of ther game engine. It's pretty impressive from an indie developer to create within a year or so time-frame. So far this is one of the most popular videos I've posted. :)
@TheWoWElite That was just fill music from the developers. You can contact them and ask them what they'll use for music should they make a game with their next gen game engine. :)
genesis device is freeware. I don't have the download links, but it shouldn't be hard to find on Google. also, NE0MEW. what do you mean by "hard to use"? game programming in general is exceptionally difficult and time consuming, plus you need to understand basic data manipulation before you can really build a game.
Normally I would say that Pascal is for noobs, but you have done a really great job!
I actually began programming in pascal, then I went over to C++ and then assembler ( I wrote a small graphical OS, I could not get VC++ to output binaries in a suitable format so I used nasm. The OS could execute DOS binaries ).
All right then, we're trying to make a game here in Hungary using Turbo Pascal and assembly without OpenGL and DirectX( real mode ), but the VESA is not working on Nvidia cards. Ergo when we go on with our project, then we'll present our motor too. Go Pascal, go!
Hell, we didn't want to use OpenGl nor DirectX from the first place. And even if it's not admited, without OpenGl or DirectX you can't even put out a pixel. And that's what we are trying to solve. What does Direct X or OpenGl know of VESA that we don't?
Besides, have you ever tried to debug a program in free pascal? There is no debug support!!!
At least Turbo Pascal had a decent debugger.
But I do not want to blame FPC, its good indeed, but we prefer TP. We're stubborn:)
you can try the genesisdevice-dot-net website. It's been updated with a few videos showing off what they're doing. The actual engine hasn't been released yet.
These guys are really going all out. If you thought that this video was cool, you should see their recent one. The grass sways in the wind. Looks really sweet! :)
They're targeting nextgen hardware so drag out your Core2 systems and G80s. ;)
Post back how it ran. You'll need a high-end system to run it well. I can run AoE3 with fairly decent settings and still had an extremely low frame-rate.
im gonna try! keyword try and make a better version of oblivion not saying itz a bad game itz just the game needs some tuning up....

Could use a little more work but keep it up. At this rate you'll create something as good as CryEngine it self.

I'd recommend dropping Turbo Pascal for Free Pascal. You won't be able to use OpenGL or DirectX working under DOS. :)
Besides FPC succeeded TP ages ago. lol
