WELL DONE NUNS...You are my SECOND favorite group doing this bit....Percise execution throughout and very straight face. Plus a good surprise from the singers at the end. I am sure you enjoyed this but worked your habbits off to get it right! St. Francis de la Sissies just were a tad more together. I liked the fact that they didn't have to discard signs....Regardless..VERY WELL DONE uh..er ...LADIES!

The actual version is called The Hallelujah Chorus, part of Handel's Messiah. Many serious choral groups sing it. It's the highlight of The Messiah. This is a funny and engaging version, but don't lose sight of the real thing.

My mother used to practice this almost endlessly with the Durban Philharmonic Choir in S.A. It is a magnificent piece.

its an amazing and glorious composition - it should be performed with utmost care and attention, and commitment of everyone involved, even the orchestra..

we performed the same piece at all winter concerts during my highschool years, and it was incredible - no dry eyes anywhere.. so sorry you couldn't have the same experience with it :-/
