anyone bashing john here... listen to the simplicity of his songs. arguably one of the greatest songs ever, is the first thing i learned on the piano. C then F.  but he makes it work. there are better vocalists out there, live performers, guitar players, keyboardists, hell maybe songwriters if you think so, but johns great at each of em, and he brought it all into one package.
