  • What Link may lack in technical abilities he makes up with pure COOL. His sound is primal, raw, and badass. Link, Jimi Hendrix and Johnny Winter are my biggest influences and Johnny isn't in the Rock Hall either. Who cares about Rock Hall of Fame bunch of crap anyways those british fags like clapton and jimi page sucked balls.

  • what program did you use to make this video? i really like the effect

  • The fact that Link Wray is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame shows the thing to be sort of a joke. This is the man who invented metal sound! Most of the big name guitar players got their inspiration from him.

  • 46 years old and just as compelling as ever. Supreme rock and roll.

  • KEEP IT DUSTY

  • He's to guitarists what the sun is for plants... In a natural habbit, they will attempt to grow towards him

  • Damn i love the tone

  • one of the best sounds in the world

  • Yes surffing is cool !

  • Yuhh this is the stuff 60's surf and garage rock just make everything great

  • This new club tune called "Barbara Streisand" sounds as though it was influenced by this tune in particular... I mean, at least, in terms of both of their fundamental core.

  • Woah.

  • This is what Hendrix was listening to before he cut 'are you experienced'.

  • hey man dont mind those scumbags at the r+r hall of fame they wouldnt know rock if they where in a geology museum

  • I think Link Wray must be the godfather of punk.

  • @thisiskelcy His the Godfather of many genres---inspired Led Zeppelin [head banger], Peter Townshend [classic rock], and Ennio Morricone [spaghetti western sound'TheGoodBad&TheUgly']. Check out great bios on wikipedia and pandora radio. I just found out about him too...great man 1929-2005 RIP

  • @thisiskelcy

Sid Vicious and him partied together once. Sid was a huge fan.

  • In which year was this released? I had the chance to see Link in the late '90s. Awesome show! One of the best I've seen!

  • damn it link did you have to die?????

  • yeah it sucks cracker but hey he was the man MAN!!

  • Chainlinkray your a legend for have so many of these tunes up here! Thanks

  • Thanks. I want Link in the R+R Hall of Fame where he belongs.

  • @chainlinkray Awesome vid..thanks. Great talent and profound independent artist. His "solo-wolf" attitude should not prohibit his entry into the R&R Hall Of Fame. After all, there would be no modern R&R without his invention of the power chord as well as shades of many artists you can see in his performances! Peter Townshend, Led Zeppelin and Ennio Morricone [spaghetti western] have to thank him for his inspiration! Let me know if you start some sort of INDUCT LINK WRAY action! All hail Link!

  • @puzzlgrl If i knew how to get one started i would've done it already. I've seen sites that say sign this petition and get this person in but i never saw one for Link. Thanks for your support though and if you find any info on getting a petion drive going PM me.

  • @chainlinkray What guitarist during the 1960's and '70s wasn't influenced by Link?

  • @chainlinkray Rock and Roll Hall of SHIT.

  • @ChrisYonts If Link doesn't get in then it is a Hall of S...!

  • @ChrisYonts To you and every one else on here hating on the R&R Hall of Fame and saying Link Wray is "too good" for it--if you morons had even gone there in your lives, you would've seen that they had stuff on him there, including his guitar...He composed some great rockabilly/surf rock, but he wasn't the greatest. Sure, I'd put him up there. But there are a lot of really good guitarists out there. A LOT. Plus, there really is no comparing him to someone like Jimi Hendrix.

  • @Transformers2themax You're the moron. That man influenced many people who are already in that Shit hole. The Hall should be about originals and who they influenced. Not just record sales. Just like Jeff Beck,Clapton,Townsend,Page,Dylan,Neil Young,Springsteen and Jerry Garcia influeneced others. They all know who Link was and i'm sure Hendrix knew who he was. Having just his guitar there is an embarrassment. Madonna is in there. What a joke! "Nuff Said".

  • good stuff!

  • yeah totally
