Good stuff...i just bought a Ural and was looking for ammo boxes but they quite expensive..are yours the American night vision boxes?....if so they look good ..did you make yourself up a bracket for them
@smarba1 : They are the US military night vision cases bolted directly to the sidecar but using tubular spacers. The original handles were ground off and replaced w/ a more period correct type of fixed handle.
@seaymajor : THANK YOU!!! Kelsie is 16 now and busy w/ dance & drama class, etc. but we plan on getting her back in the saddle in the spring. She needs to learn how to drive the M35A2 also :)
I'm not gonna let my daughter see this, she'll wanna jump on my Triumph like she did LOL! Great video and weird if some schmuck dented your bike it's on like Donkey Kong. However if your kiddo does it's no thing at all. Was that one of the 2 wheeled Urals?
@dickdiggler2 : Funny! To answer your question, NO, this is a one wheel drive Ural Tourist that is ridden off-road more than on the road. Thanks for watching and commenting :)
Oops! Ouch! I have experienced bike-riding reflexes causing a mutiny when riding something that won't bank. In my case it was just a granny-tricycle that belonged to the shop, so stopping was easy. It was not quite as easy to figure out why I almost rode it into the same fence twice. Pulled the low apehanger bars on that thing back, and everything was fine after that. Best regards.
@TheSonofmydad: Yeah, high bars will cause all sorts of ill-handling headaches :) I lowered these before I even started it. Most Ural dealers set these up like ape-hangers and people are usually shocked at the improved handling when I return the bars down to a normal position that offers more leverage. Thanks for watching the video :)
@BavarianBomberWrench Damnedest one of the most well-centered comments about bikes. I'm a total biker, from my just-after-childish years to my now old age, and I've got began to ride my new FXST Twin Cam with plain bars, and, ¡Man, oh, man!... ¡¡Nobody told me b4 that there was another world!!
@BavarianBomberWrench Next 1st. or 2nd. of February I'll put my hands in my first rig: A new (or so) CJ-750, OHV, dazzling shine Old White English color with tobacco pinstripes, 45/50 mph cruising speed, gummi Denfeld & Pagusa seats, ...
@mutterschied : Congratulations on your 'new' CJ! The Chinese rigs don't get the respect that they deserve. They are pretty good and I have a firend who's CJ runs 70mph! His flat-head CJ engine is very torquey and sounds great. Have fun!
Yes, she enjoys riding the Ural. I don't know about the U.K. but Ural's are becoming quite popular in the U.S. and I have over 30 Ural customers at this point. Thanks for your comment & Merry Christmas
haha bike and side car whata brilliant idea to help with learning throttle and clutch controle thatlle be a nice memory when shes older considering urals arnt that populer enymore
respect to her dad for teaching her the better things in life .nothing beats riding a bike and urals are a great bike to learn on , forgiving ,bullet proof and a hoot to ride
She's a natural rider - poised and confident and good with the controls. And, she's good at keeping her eyes on those pesky clotheslines, thank heavens. She "keeps her head" about her!
THANKS! She did quite well for her first time operating anything motorized. Now that she is 15 we will spend more time on driving & riding lessons. Thanks for your comment :)
Very nice. It is interesting for a girl to drive it.
When I have repaired my old Ural and added a sidecar at first time, I rode it for a few times, then have called my mom and did a little ride.
That was autumn. I used it with sidecar in winter, and I am using it single at summer.
It's bad that Russian laws make let no use old classic models of Urals as a single motorcycle. And each time road patrol stops you, they may make you pay fine.
Third and most important - I absolutely wasn't expecting your laughing response, although it then occured to me that it was the only natural thing to feel and do. Reminded us people what being a human being, a good teacher and especially a parent really means.
And how things can be repaired or replaced, provided the means.
Thanks! Kelsie isn't my daughter but does babysit my twin boys. As for damage to the Ural... that's what these are made for! It gets a good beating on a regular basis as I do a LOT of off-road riding with it. For all those who cry about poor Russian quality... I suspect they don't know what end of a screwdriver to hold on to :) Thanks and I'm glad you liked the video. She'll be driving it more frequently this summer when she has time.
Great video...fun to watch...thanks for posting. Man I love those bikes and really want one, (just need to make space and sell a bike to make room). You're lucky I'm not one of your offspring...I'd have made a left and kept going till I hit Greenland LOL! Cheers!

hi, i am in India. how can i get one?
yusha33 11 months ago
@yusha33 :
There are no Ural dealers in India currently. Perhaps you could buy one from another country and have it shipped to India?
BavarianBomberWrench 11 months ago
@yusha33 Ask for it in any important Enfield India dealership in your Country. Both motorcycles are marketed together in Europe and South America.
