I still think, to this day, this is his best ever. And stands the test of time, and many, many songs fall, where this still stands. I was 6 when this came out in '78, and whenever I need comfort, from that time on, this is the song that gives it.

It is interesting that the piece has only "major" harmonies. Usually melancholic music has more "minor" harmonies. There is something about the slow tempo and the arrangement (e.g. those wind chimes) that make it "sad."
