  • lol I love the noise the ground makesle *shuffle shuffle shuffle*

  • haha nice work, and you don't need to apologise for your floor being squeeky :P lol

  • is it easy to learn? thanks! <3

  • Does it hurt :> ? I'm getting mine this week :)

  • @MiSsAmBeRwInG It does hurt a bit, not going to lie. :P But it's so worth it!

  • those are some wonderful arches :) x

  • its not safe 2 do pointe at home

  • @icecreamgirl1230 Uhh, why not??

  • @brazilchic101 If you're a beginner and doing pointe at home, it's dangerous because you could fall, go over wrong, break something...standard risks. You always want to make sure you are under the supervision of your teacher so you know you are working through your shoes correctly. It's just really hard to abide by that, especially with new pointes :-) It's so fun showing them off ^.^

  • @icecreamgirl1230 It's fine to do pointe at home as long as your on tile.

  • @icecreamgirl1230 yes it is???

  • they look wonderful on your feet! they are perfect for you! ( in my opinion)

  • goood :D

  • Do you like the suffolk solo's? im about to go and get Gaynor's and a pair of Grishko's

  • That Looks like it Hurts so Bad...

  • what kind are they? (:

  • @mallorieclaire Suffolk Solo's

  • @brazilchic101 they look great on you!

  • @brazilchic101 i had the same problem with these shoes they keep breaking in different places! whatch my video and help me!

  • be careful not to hop on to pointe... but you are doing great considering how little time you've had them. i see this video is a little old, so post a recent one so i can see your improvement!

  • @triplethreat913 Yeah, it is really old. But I had to quit dance because of personal reasons, so even if i posted a new video... i would probably be worse! haha sorrry :)

  • do u hav to hav a letter from a teacher to buy pointe shoes ?

  • No, but you should have your teacher come along with you to know what suits your foot and body shape the best. That's what my teacher did. Hope I helped! :)

  • @brazilchic101 thanks u did but unfortunatly i wont b getting pointe shoes any time soon :( haha :)

  • @brazilchic101 thanks u did but unfortunatly i wont b getting pointe shoes any time soon :( haha :)

  • @brazilchic101 thanks u did but unfortunatly i wont b getting pointe shoes any time soon :( haha :)

  • hello! :)

You say your shoes are broke?

Go to dance direct, they have very good ones cheap and all.

Also for your own safety dont do en pointe on tiles, wooden floor is best :)

But your good for a beginner :)

  • please never said taht you hate your shoes

  • hey

i think u need to break in your shoes abit more also when rising into pointe DO NOT jump roll through from demi to pointe otherwise u can really hurt yourself otherwise well done :)

  • whats bad about dancing pointe on tile?

  • DO NOT DO POINTE ON TILE!!

  • at 0:34 you jump into sou-sou that is really bad for your feet be careful roll through your feet!

  • i think its lenolium but whatever is creaking sounds like your farting haha!

  • do not dance on tile!!!!!!!!!

  • Your doing fine for two months. But if you said they aren't broken into the right places, that can also be a safety issue, and it is bad for your feet. But if they don't cause any problems, I think they will be fine.

Please check out my vids. Be my friend, and sub me... or anyone reading this, even just checking out my channel would be great!!!

    Live,Love,Laugh,Dance!

  • was that ur foot or ur shoe that cracked in the very begining?

  • what are you talking about? your fine for 2 months!!

  • your not supposed 2 do pointe on tile. r u?

  • i think its linoleum?

  • Try to roll through demi pointe, you aren't supposed to jump up onto pointe (;

  • Wow, your good. i am going up on point soon. but i am scared....hah

  • Not bad. The shoes are fitting you quite well, and are breaking in a good place for your feet.

Tuck the strings into the shoes in front please for a more advanced/pro look. Strings hanging out are no-no's.

As to going on one foot, you need more strength before attempting any promenades etc. work on releves, 2 feet, then move from 2feet to one foot back to 2 feet.

    You should do well.

  • wow those shoes reall compliment your feet!

  • what r u talking about u r really good for being on for 2 months i have been on since i was 11 now im 19 and you look great!!!

  • aww thanks! although i'm sure you're just as good, if not better! =]

  • its not that bad just turnout more

  • good

  • Until the teacher wants you to

  • kool :) how long do u have to do ballet for b4 u go on pointe?

  • For me at my studio, I have been doing ballet since i was 3, and i had to take a really intense technical ballet class for a year before i could.... hope that answers ur question!

  • ook kool thnx coz ive only just started nd its gonna be like 3 years :S

  • atleast three years is good depending on what your strength is, what your technique is and turnout and feet are a good plus!

ive only been dancing for two years and i got mine, but i do ballet in school every single day. it also depends on the teacher! hope this helps :)

  • yup thnx!!!

  • wow! thats was fantastic, just try to arch your feet more and turnout just a little. Your balance is great, awesome job overall!

  • Your already very good, but make sure you work on your arches a bit they seem sort of sunk, otherwise bona fortuna

  • are they by freed ..?

    they look like mine

  • no they're suffolk solo's

  • hehe I think her shoes are just squeaky

    that was funny

  • omg your brake your shank really fast to same with me

  • you are really good:) just be sure to turn out your back leg!

  • thit looks like you are sinking a bit... if you pull out of your shoes... they will last longer, your feet will be stronger, and your feet will look prettier.

  • word of advice to a beginner - don't sink in your shoes and rely on the shank to keep you up - use that advice, and you'll do great. ( this will also help with the problem that they aren't broken in the right places. you are already very good, and you'll have amazing feet if you work them the right way :) hope this helps!!!

  • wow! you are great for just a few months! I see what you mean when you say they broke in some wrong places! The shanks broke right under your heels! The only thing I have to say is don't jump into susu!! :)

  • wen u susu, dont jump up, try to slide ur feet at the same time...ill post videos soon about technique.....

  • your shoes are so pretty, your feet look good in them.

  • you're vey good for a beginner

  • It makes me laugh when they creak.. Just remember to keep your turn out still amazing for a beginner.

  • Hi!!!

You are really good for a beginner! Nobody is perfect in the beginning but you have awesome potential and I'm sure you'll go far!!! :)

PS I know all about those mean girls, there are some pretty horrible things some people say.

  • your not the only one on pointe that reallly hates it loll. im with you. but ur not bad. ur over your shoes. although they are really squeeky. dont just step onto ur shoes to go up though. work on rolling over releve into being on full pointe. and turn out more. ur good though.

  • when you burree, keep your feet turned out - you started in fifth and then moved into some funky weird position like a crossed sixth or a turned in fifth

  • i would mainly suggest working on your turn out by squeezing you inner thighs, butt and abs.

those shoes are actually very nice on your feet - you probably hate them because you dont feel like you can do everything you want to on them, but that comes with strength, not shoes (i learned that after buying countless pairs when i first started, only to realize that it wasnt the shoes that i didn't like, it was the fact that i was just not strong enough yet)

do lots of releves on flat tho!!

  • dont use ur butt when turning out...this will make bulky big muscles............use ur lower abs......and ur the muscles around ur hips......but not ur butt....it rly bad

  • The gluteus maximus, or the posterior hip muscles (commonly known as butt muscles) are on the backside of the hips. Therefore, engaging these muscles rotates the hips to increase turn out and promote better alignment.

how would abdomen muscles affect hip rotation? they would certainly help balance and strength.

also, using the rectus femoris (top thigh muscles) instead of the sartorius (inner thigh muscles) create "bulky" muscles.

i will be happy to post a diagram if you need a visual aid.

  • I would like to see a diagram. this is fascinating. =)

  • They dont look to bad in some places only like 1 or two it looks a little weird but they look ok to me. It seems like you have good strong feet!

  • niceeeee wt brand r they???

    lizzie =D

  • Are They Your First Pointes, I Looked At My First Shoes The Other Day And They ere Just Soft Everywhere, i Remember Overly Breaking Them In... But You'll Get Used To How They SHould Be Over Time

  • these shoes look great on your feet! your arch is broken in very well but i would work on breaking in your demi. that could use some work. but really a great job for only a few months. =)

  • I feel your pain, wel... not realy, but I can get into it. My ex girlfriend is a ballet danser, so I can at least understand.

  • your good! i have pointe shoes too! ( check out our videos!)

  • if you're new to pointe how do you know if they're broken in places where they shouldn't be? this brand looks really nice on your feet.

  • not bad for only a few months. Those shoes look beautiful on your feet. You're a really great dancer! Keep up the good work

  • klk linda te amo

  • im getting pointe shoes next year! im so excited! is pointe fun??

  • its not fun, it hurts

  • if you dont think it is fun, then y do u do it?? yeah it hurtss... but it doesnt mean its not fun!!=]

  • its not fun if you do it 4 times a week and are in shows

  • well i guess thats ur opionon cause i love it and i am in shows and i do have class about 4 times a week... nobodys forcing you to do pointe, if u relle feel that way than quit

  • well if its that bad then dont do it

  • wt shoes are these

  • i like ur pointe shoes! watch me vids plz not about pointe shoes

  • what kind of shoes are they

  • im about to make a vid like this im a starter too.=)oh nd i think ur pretty good!=)

  • ok so it wasn't that bad, but ya those pointe shoes are horrible...you have pretty good feet, you just need to try different pointe shoes and see what works best. ive been en pointe for ten years and i just found the perfect pair for me a couple months ago lol.

  • wow i think your very good!

  • be careful on the tile!! Your feet look very pretty in the shoes, but I know a person who was dancing en pointe in their kitchen, slipped and popped their knee cap

  • Nice arches...but you need to turn out. When you did turn out you kinda rolled back into parallel.

  • What type of shoes are these?

  • ur a begginer like i am ur great keep up the good work

  • You really are not as bad as you give yourself credit for. If your shoes are not broken in where they should be, consult your instructor for some tips.

    Good Luck !!!

  • k turn out in sousous - when you bouree forward, you are completely turned in

    never pique underneath yourself

    roll down on both feet

so far so good though! you have very nice feet and you have strong basic skills

could you maybe post a video of you doing things in first position - releves, eleves, echappes, etc etc

  • i reeallly like ur feet

  • yeah you look very good.

better than me on my video xD

yeah urm try and pull out of your shoes and turn about a bit more, ur good :)

  • u look very good. Make sure you turn out as much as possible.

  • Oooh. i had shoes that broke in similar places and that sucked! kinda was hard on my feet cuz the arch wasnt where mine were. =/ so i switched to grishko so the arch is already there =P.

  • first shoes are rarely the only shoe you'll ever try on what i like to call "The Great Search". you'll likely try a dozen brands/styles or more before you find the perfect shoe. keep experimenting. and no one should go and tell you what shoes to get just from watching a video. what works for them won't necessarily work for you. russian pointe and grishkos are good at finding a good fit for many different foot types. you have nice feet, it shoudn't be a problem.

  • That and watch your turn out and don't jump onto pointe

    :-)

  • Good, if you have a theraband you can make your ankles stronger. Sports section of walmart has tri-level bands. I use those. Easy before class, medium at the barre warm up, and hard right before I do adagio ;) lol lucky i have a 2 hr. ballet class to do all those

  • youve got quite naturally good feet and a nice arch but when going onto pointe makesure you go through your feet. but other then that pretty good.

  • your realy good i wish i was on my points i will be soon only 1 grade to go:D:Dur soooooooooooooo goood!!!!!!!

  • I'm wicked excited because I'm getting my first pointe shoes in a couple of weeks. If you have any tips please tell me!!!

  • I like BLOCH points the best,i suggest you get them.

  • what type of pointe shoes are those?!

    they're VERY pretty!

  • you really need to turn out more when on pointe!

  • you have good feet like i do but when you roll off of pointe.. roll through your demi pointe!

  • quite good for a beginner but turn out your feet in pointe!! xx

  • impresive.

LOL what shoes do you have? grishkos?????

  • I love your pointe shoes!! their so pretty! (:

  • You have beautiful feet! Great job for a beginner! :)

  • yeah gaynor mindens are good i have hear at my old studio. and your not bad just keep stretching your ankles.

  • i say your a really good dancer + for a few months ur faboulous ive been doing pointe for about one year + im rubishh i only go dancing once a week oh well lol keep dancing ! x

  • o i forgot

    turnout!

  • you are crazy!

those do look great and u have amazing arches.

    squeeky shoes tho..

  • HOLY COW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Those look GRAETTTTTTTTTT on ur foot!!!

I love them!! and your arches are beautiful!

  • what are you talking about!?! those shoes look great on you and u arnt to bad for just beginning!

  • turn out turn out ! maybe don't get freeds ? i think those are freeds, they sure look like it.. maybe capezios. try grishko 2007s ? they work for a lot of people. anyways you're good.

  • roll through your demi when you go up

  • What does it take to get on pointe. I'm starting in ballet on monday the 11th of august in a what you would call "advanced beginners?" if you understand. it means i'm starting in a class where i'm not with the 7 yr olds. ive been dancing for a long time but never actually taken a class. But I really want. I mean REALLY BADLY! and i dont care if people say it hurts. Ive gone through a lott of pain in my life. I can already do 11 piroettes what should I do to get on pointe fast?

  • I'd suggest trying a pair of Gaynor Mindens. I've only been on pointe for about a week, but I tried on a few different kinds of pointe shoes and so far I've liked Gaynor Mindens the best. That's what I have, too.

  • u look so pretty in ur shoes...they just look nice on you :)

  • ur not as bad as u make out!!!! be more confident in urself u r good!!!!! keep going!!!

    Sx

  • I agree with rolling through demi pointe. Really really work on that. Also, I usually walk around en demi pointe for a few minutes when i first get new shoes just so they break in where i want them. your best bet is to go see your fitter. If you have a good fitter, he'll be able to tell you if you need new shoes and what to get. Also, USE YOUR TEACHER. your instructor is your best resource for questions relating to pointe work.

  • you have a nice arch on your pointe i felt a bit sick when i heard your feet click at the start lol=]x

  • your doing a good job of getting over you box ;) I would agree that you need new shoes, those shoes are a bit creeky ;)

  • Good job rolling through your feet!!!!!

  • Your NOT that bad!! The shoes dont look bad either!! But if they are,, i would advize you to get new ones, so bad habbits don't form!!

    :)Good luck!!

  • the shoes dont look too bad =) try working on rolling through your demi pointe a little more. and watch lisa howells video on how to break in pointe shoes, its amazing and really works =D

  • so sory a bout the shoes!! my aadvice dont try to brak in the shoes just let your feet do it and try a new brannd like gaynors or grisckos of blochs. but the only way to find the perfect shoe is by trial and error what ever u do dont get freeds they never wrk!!

  • i actually quite like your feet..

and they don't look too bad in the shoes, either. it sometimes ends up being a matter of trial and error with pointe shoes[i've tried soooo many different kinds].

one of the only things i would say is to hold your turnout!

  • Very Good!

  • you are not that bad! If you think your bad, you won't get any better! Have a positive attitude! And just try to turn out from your thighs a little more. Believe me, it's very hard. My turn out is awful! Keep dancing!

  • you have very pretty feet (:

  • i liked it :)

  • wow you are good good=]]

  • I love your feet! You have awesome arches! =)

All I have to say is you need to work on your turn out.

  • Hmmm... yo good, girlie! Try to turn out those feet a little more next time:)

  • u have a good arch... so yea

    dang

i wish i had ur feet

im goin into my 3rd year and my feet have just become like that

    lol

    o well

  • looks pretty good to me.

  • Try not to jump when you go into susu [spelling?] But I really like your shoes. Very pretty. [:

  • you have a very good arch. ur pointes are very noisy and if you bang them on a hard surface it will quiet them down a bit keep dancing =]your point shoes are pretty!

  • they look nice 4 only being on 4 such short time

  • I think its good :) I've been en pointe for a month & its really exciting. My teacher says im progressing fast which is awesome, she said i can be en pointe for the end of year show. I'm going to post a video of me en pointe so people can give me advice too. Do you have any tips or anything for me?

  • my tip is practice hard, hold ur body and really majorly stay over the boxes. And if u dont have a good arch on ur point then work on that. U can aslo ask ur teacher

  • i'm 11 and on pointe

  • You are ao good in point, because for me a 11 years old girl who isnt doing point now, you ares so good. I WANT TO GO IN POINT LIKE YOU!!

  • thank you, when you start you will be even better!

  • you are very good!!!

and you pointe shoes are nice!!!:)

  • Your doing great! love the leg warmers :)

    keep it up

  • THX ive had my leg warmers for like years...they never get old!

  • they are suffolk solos

  • I think they look very nice, it looks like the only spot they need breaking in is in the demi. my shoes, on the other hand, are breaking in exactly the wrong place, haha. What kind of shoes are those, out of curiosity?

  • I think you've broken them in the right place, it looks right at least.

Good for first few months. I'm beginning my third month en Pointe too. ^_^

  • Near the beginning when you go up on pointe in 5th your back foot turns in a bit. Make sure you work on maintaining your turnout, but your over the shoe and have a good arch. Practice makes perfect :)

  • When did you start ballet?

  • when i was 5 but then i quit when i was 7 and started again when i was 10

  • make sure to always roll down and up through a high demi pointe. your arches are great =]

  • You have beautiful feet! Try to work through your demi pointe a little more. Other than that, you are doing as well as expected for a beginner. Don't get discouraged...you'll be wonderful! Take care, and God bless!
