Oh god, SimCity with the Crysis engine. I'd buy a new computer just for that... as long as the SC4 Devotion hotshots like RippleJet and Tarkus and company were central to the development team :D

I don't think another SimCity is ever going to be made. Maxis/EA have no interest in continuing the series. The big thing right now is "casual gaming", appealing to the lowest common denominator, so while you might see something with this sort of graphical complexity, it would end up being dumbed down to the level of SC2000, or worse.

Personally, I'd rather just keep playing 4.

SimCity 5 EXPANSION PACKS

Midnight Hour - Adds a downtown array of buildings and lights, new vehicles and more

Rush Hour - Same as SC4

MoveIn - It would give the game a new webcam access setting so that you can add a sim that looks like you, or add a sim from TS3 or TS2.

SC5 is Simcity Societies, it generaly looks similer, but not quite. You would need quite the computer for that.

Someone should make a game where you can own your own land and if it does well be able to buy more and develop it into a city type thing and compete with surrounding cities or towns. That would be pretty cool, thats what real life cities do, compete for best retail etc.

IF SC5 really is a true successor to SC4 (not SimCity Societies) then it should incorporate many major under-the-hood changes, such dat it will not be as clunky as the former, esp when managing downloaded stuff (if there ever is any) yet keep 2 the playing style dat SC is known for.

I dont know about you but citiesXL2011 graphics are just more awesome than this!

It looks more attractive to me, its not perfect, but its not too realistic.....like SC4, the 2 graphics are gorgeous because it doesnt look like reality!

so.....citiesXL 2011 graphics are much more appealing to the eye than this kind of.....demo.

PLEASE SIMCITY 5 its been 4 years and im still waiting for Simcity 5. :(( yep, im a total fan of Simcity. its the best city-building game ever! and there are alot of downloadables that other city-building games that succeeded it have failed to match.

please stick with the traditional simcity design or make this one instead of the crappy simsocieties and cities xl that came out.

EA basically have to make another simcity game like Monte Cristo. Their not giving up they relised City Life in like 2008 in 2009 came Cities XL in 2010 well a couple weeks ago cities XL 2011 came out. There not giving up on making games, if EA dosnt make simcity 5 or whatever it could be called. They will lose fans which will move to Cities XL. Great video though.

the problem is that any game dev would have a hard time making something more realistic than SC4. Monte Cristo tried that with CXL and it still isn't what everyone had hoped for...(although a major improvement over SC4). This demo was prob made using all custom created content b/c the point is to show off the graphics engine...the problem then would be-who has a pc good enough to render all that realism?
